How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The staff were pleasant. An early check-in was arranged for us. It was walking distance to the city centre. We had an enjoyable stay.

Cleanliness and finishes were so so. There was a spider web inside abd the screen door to the balcony was off its slider. There was no bottle opener in the drawer, luckily I’d brought my own
Location was excellent. Staff were polite and helpful. Shower pressure was great

The bed was old, loose spring underneath resulting in sore back. The pillows were ultra soft offering very little neck support- stiff neck the whole of the following day. The windows don't open - stuffy and difficult to breathe. I have been in another room with a balcony before and it was amazing. Lots of access to fresh air, beds newer/stronger springs and a comfy sofa to relax on. None of this was on offer this time around.
I liked the location - close to town centre restaurants, movies etc. Clean room.

Instead of individual milks have one small 250ml UNT. It stops some plastic waste, is easier to use etc.
The ability to park on site for free. The central location. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious.

The original t.v. could not get channel 9. The cook top provide didnot work . The staff were absolutely the greatest and replaced the television and the cook top. I would suggest instructions on the cook top.

Exellent location and good facilities. It was an added bonus to find that there were EV charging stations in the undercover park, which I was able to use to charge my plug-in hybrid vehicle. The staff were particualrly friendly and helpful.

Would prefer a room not on a street, road noise quite loud.
Have stayed there twice now, and would definitely stay there in the future. Great location, can walk easily into city centre, very close to pubs, cafes & restaurants.

No bath. The other guests were inconsiderate and loud. Saturday night 1 am, door slamming and loud young girls. Monday night neighbour right by my bed having happy time and took hours to finish...I stuffed toilet paper in my ears and put on noise cancelling head phones, also had to bang on wall. When he was done the neighbour on other side starts up super loud with world news. This was from 9pm till after 1am.
The bed was probably the most comfortable I have ever slept in at a hotel. The room had more than needed with cooking facilities, space and a balcony. Kit kits and hot chocolate 👌🏼 Staff were all very kind and lovely.

The parking was tricky.bit narrow especially when people don't park within their lines..the lift was at times very slow.only 1 seat at table. Balcony door very hard to open,needs new rollers and balcony very dirty.
The location..close to eateries..comfortable for the price..easy to get to.

The TV reception was the only negative from my stay.
The room was large and the beds were very comfortable. Located only a 10 minute walk from Canberra CBD. Staff were very nice and helpful providing some alternatives for dinner and drinks

Room was clean and comfortable and had everything you would need. Bed was also comfortable. Location was perfect for me, and free parking is a plus. Plenty of cafes and restaurants close by and not too long a walk to the centre. Receptionist was helpful. I would stay here again.

I tried to check in on my way into Canberra just after noon - didn’t need to put luggage in room, just wanted the key as There was a good chance my afternoon meeting would go straight to dinner. I was told that this wasn’t possible but that Reception was open until 10pm. I knew there was no bar or cafe - would have been good but understood
