How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The bed wasn't super comfy, but it did the job!
Location was easy to find and central - great value for money! The rooms had the basics to enjoy your stay like tea & coffee facilities, soap etc for the shower, and a heater for when it gets cooler.

The shower head isn’t working properly, it sprays water everywhere its not connected properly. The lead from the electric blanket doesn’t reach the power point. Needs an extension . The bags of laundry in the hallway were unsightly and was dangerous. Could easily trip over. No bedside lamps.

The walls had masking tape on them to cover cracks/ keep plaster from falling off, extractor fan in bathroom filled with THICK dust, no plug in the sink, shower took ages to heat up to temperature.
Located in central launceston but not sure there is much to see there, we just stayed as we had an early flight the next day. Check in lady was friendly.

There was a muck up with the booking and when we arrived the owners couldn't find the booking, despite me clearly having all the confirmation and booking references on my phone. Offered a bigger room, which was fine, but it had two single beds instead of a double.
Room was clean and comfortable for a one night stay. Bathroom was small, but clean.

The lighting in the room was a bit odd - the ceiling spot lights shone right into your face when you were lying down in bed, so even sitting in bed watching TV was uncomfortable with the light in your face.
Good value for money. Very clean and comfortable. Very responsive staff by email. It was a budget hotel but its service and upkeep was beyond what we would expect from a budget hotel.

Sent messages about our delayed arrival after 1700 but only had reply 1 hour after we arrived

My daughter didn’t like having to lie on the switch for the warming blanket. Otherwise all was fine.
It was located conveniently to the airport and venue, it was clean and accessible.

I've stayed previously in rooms off the side street and it was good but this time i was in one of the rooms off bathhurst. Incredibly noisy. They need to double glaze and put ventitation into the roof or corridor.

There was a landing of sorts just outside of our windows, and people were smoking and talking right outside the room our 1 year was sleeping in.

It was still great BUT the housekeeping did NOT leave any soap or shampoo/condition and we unfortunately had to call two or three times to arrange some to be dropped off as we arrived after 5pm.
As stated before when we stayed there on 07/02/24, it was great value for money.

Bath drain stank, didn’t get daily house cleaning. A bit too small for a longer stay. Weird having the bathroom sink on the outside.
The bed was comfortable. Nice room, nice for a short and quick stay.

Bed uncomfortable Light in passage way left on all night which shone though the doorway of our room, could be better with a sensor to enable improved sleep.

I booked into a hotel , I had seen it had a steak house with good reviews , also a pizza place but when I got there to the pub was essentially pub with no beer . The bar ,the pizza shop ,the steak house are all closed mondays and Tuesdays. But in saying that there were other options nearby. I would stay there again .
Room itself was great ,clean tidy, good amentities for a great price .good location
