Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

It’s pretty quiet and nice. Due to the cold weather, the room has heaters and keep us warm for all of the time.

AustraliaThe sheets on our bed were an ill fit. They didn’t stay put and bunched up very quickly after getting into bed. Probably an attention to detail that needs to be paid. Not good given the nightly accomodation costs. Breakfast needs some attention to detail as well. Adequate but not outstanding. Food may have been prepared by someone who isn’t a cook.
This accomodation was beautiful. Its surroundings and furnishings were absolutely delightful. The gardens are superb. All of the procured antiques and finishes added to an amazing ambiance.

United KingdomA couple of slight downsides for me 1. The bathroom (which was fabulous) was on the ground floor under the bedroom, so quite a trek through the apartment involving stairs and steps in the middle of the night. Not so easy with rickety ankles and jetlag. 2. The Servants Quarters kitchen also has a door (and window) into the main hotel breakfast area. This is great if you want to head straight there for breakfast, not so for privacy. We had visitors/other guests knocking on the door a couple of times, thinking it was genuinely the staff quarters.
A great 'shabby chic' vibe in the Servants Quarters, the apartment was very comfy. The little kitchen worked well for self-catering. We enjoyed exploring Hobart, the harbour, and the Domain and Botanical gardens. All perfectly doable on foot. The gardens at the property were beautiful. The staff were very helpful, especially when we blew a fuse using the dryer 😁

SingaporeHowever, we did encounter a minor hiccup during check-in, as finding the right door and inputting the correct code proved slightly confusing. Nevertheless, this small inconvenience was overshadowed by the overall positive experience we had during our stay.
Our stay at this colonial-style house nestled amidst charming gardens was a delightful experience. Situated in a quiet area, we enjoyed peaceful surroundings that lent themselves to a restful night's sleep, especially since we were accommodated upstairs where the atmosphere remained tranquil. One highlight of our stay was the quick and efficient check-in in-person process, which made us feel welcomed right from the start. Additionally, the ample parking available on the street provided added convenience for guests arriving by car. The hotel's responsiveness to guests' needs was evident, and we appreciated the attention to ensuring a warm welcome. The property provided us sufficient shampoo and shower cream. It's worth noting that while the hotel offers laundry services for an additional charge, we opted to take advantage of the serene atmosphere and quiet surroundings to relax and unwind. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this lovely colonial-style house and would highly recommend it to others seeking a peaceful retreat.

MalaysiaWhile the hotel offered many commendable features, one notable downside was the audible walking noises in the corridor due to the wooden flooring. This occasionally disrupted the room's tranquility, especially during quiet hours.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Corinda Collection in Tasmania, and it was an experience I'll fondly remember. From the outset, the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, and the availability of car parking was a convenient bonus, making our arrival as seamless as possible. The Corinda Collection captivated me with its charming old English style design and decoration. Each room radiated a cozy warmth, enveloping guests in comfort and nostalgia, making it incredibly easy to relax and unwind. The attention to detail in preserving the historical elegance while providing modern comforts was truly commendable. One of the highlights of our stay was the graciousness extended to us with an early check-in, a thoughtful gesture that set a welcoming tone for our visit. It's these small acts of kindness and consideration that truly differentiate one's stay at a hotel. The gardens at the Corinda Collection are a sight to behold, beautifully maintained with an array of stunning flowers that add a vibrant splash of color and life to the surroundings. It was a delight to wander through the gardens, taking in the serene beauty. Moreover, the balcony offered a spectacular lookout over Tasmania city, providing breathtaking views that were both refreshing and awe-inspiring. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet moment, soaking in the natural beauty and the tranquil atmosphere of the place. In conclusion, my stay at the Corinda Collection was absolutely lovely. Its unique blend of old-world charm, coupled with thoughtful amenities and the natural beauty of its gardens, made for a memorable experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, charming place to stay with a touch of historical elegance in Tasmania.

AustraliaI feel that the cost of the drinks in the downstairs lounge bar are excessive. Given there are no overheads (no bar staff to pay) you would think the drinks would be good value. I don't think $20 for a gin and tonic or a vodka and soda is reasonable. Even if the spirits are of good quality, nobody would expect to pay more than say $12. A cocktail - which is two spirits is usually $18-20, not a one spirit drink. The Owners need to review what they are charging.
We loved the gardens, and the ambiance in general of the building. We thought that the room, whilst not that big, was quirky with its nice bathroom and special touches.
