How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Luke warm buffet was a bit disappointing for my husband, I didn't eat any of the "hot" food and enjoyed my cereal and toast

nothing it was just heavenly
I not only liked it - but we LOVED it. Walking tracks around the accommodation so we could see wildlife. Breakfast was amazing. Dinner was good as well with both bar and restaurant. nice cosy fires and lots of activities to do.

The coffee and juice at breakfast were both awful.
The room was comfortable and clean. The common areas had a fire going and a lovely view. The bar area was good. We had breakfast included and the selection was great, plenty of options. There is a gallery on site, which is worth a visit. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. It is close to everything. We would have liked to stay longer.

The evening buffet left a lot to be desired, especially at $58 a head. We tried 3 different white wines and thought they were pretty ordinary. Had been looking forward to Tassie wines. These were disappointing

Rooms are a little aged though tidy and clean.
Excellent staff at reception and restaurant. Lovely layout of the property with several areas to sit and relax. Food was excellent and bar service very good.

It was noisy. Because of the construction you could hear the room next door and people walking down the corridor. Most of the noise stopped by 9pm
The was the perfect mountain lodge well presented with comfortable rooms, great facilities and fantastic service.

The Cafe food could have had more options.
The location and style of hotel set in the wilderness. Watching birds close by through our glass door. Areas set aside for guests with a fireplace, views and books Also a few sitting areas adjacent to cafe and restaurant, with added bonus of a Pool table! The spacious room had the most comfortable beds.

The food was the same each night and wasn’t the greatest. No real variety for multiple night stays, menu was very small, based on this I wouldn’t return.
Amazing location, absolutely stunning views from every angle. Rooms were spacious and had everything required. Free laundry was a great bonus!

The rooms are looking a bit tired. The buffet dinner was exactly the same both nights we were there apart from a different soup. We would have liked some variety.

The ev charger they have is for Tesla car only. The room can easily hear the room next door and as our room is near to the main living room, there were laughter after 9:30pm.
Pretty near to the visitor Center. The room is clean and lovely.

Not much.
Beautifully situated right at cradle mountain and surrounded by nature. The room was wonderful and comfortable, with the heater already on so our room was toasty upon arrival. Beautiful lounge areas for all guests to use with fire places to enjoy a glass of wine and enjoy the beautiful views. Facilities like the laundry were brilliant when you have been travelling a while. The restaurant and breakfast was wonderful. Lovely little walk right out the front of the property to introduce you to nature straight away.

The name on google map is different, so we went to the wrong location. The reception is bad in cradle mountain, so we couldn’t phone the hotel. Eventually I had to look up the address on their website, so that cause us a bit of inconveniences. I didn’t get any msg for any instruction after I booked it, so that was a bit not thoughtful. Bedroom is mediocre.
Breakfast is excellent. Location is great.

Room walls are quite thin so if someone in the next room is heavy footed, you’ll know about it.
