Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Australia-
On arrival we mentioned one of the reasons we came to the area was to sample Goolwa's famous pipies. Tim promptly suggested and booked us into the Kuti shack for dinner. Low key but great meal. He also suggested the local Thai restuarant (Thai Days) which we also tried and liked a lot. The villas are very clean, comfortable and quiet. Kitchen was Ok to cook a small meal. Its about a 10 min drive to the Goolwa township. It was a good base to explore the local area and we enjoyed our stay.

AustraliaAll good. Was an excellent experience
Very accommodating, their restaurant was open for lunch and fitted us in last minute. Even did a takeaway dinner for us to have in our room that evening. The fridge was stocked with essentials lots of fruit, bread, milk, cereal. Lovely hosts.

AustraliaBed could have been bigger. Thought the villas were seperated from each other but they are linked, so not as secluded as would have liked.
Beautiful Location Close to other towns with plenty of resturants and things to see/do.

AustraliaWe loved everything. already planning our next trip :)
Can’t fault the service or the surrounds. It’s a beautiful place and the location of the ‘Villas’ are a 1 minute walk through beautiful gardens to the Restaurant / Cellar door. If we had to pick only one highlight, it was the set menu lunch on Easter Saturday. Oh my, the flavours were exceptional. We didn’t want to waste any so took one of the main courses back to the Villa for dinner. Tim was our host, he was always polite and friendly, checked in with us before our stay to ensure we had dinner plans given it was Good Friday. Breakfast was self serve with a stocked fridge of fresh fruit, bread, yoghurt and muesli. Room was perfect for us, very comfy bed, large modern bathroom.

AustraliaThe garden around the winery and restaurant was lovely with stunning views but the villas need some TLC outside. So much to do running a busy winery and restaurant as well as accommodation! And to remain pleasant 24/7 as they do. Leaves, dirt, cobwebs, and plants untended are no doubt difficult to manage in such an environment but a bit of vacc blowing and sweeping would make a difference on arrival at the villa entrance and outside under the verandah.
The breakfast supplies were very generous as were the little extras like free wine tasting and the complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. The hospitality was wonderful. Tim and Rachael were genuine, thoughtful hosts and nothing was too much bother. The two young people who served at the bar and in the restaurant were very efficient, well informed and friendly.

AustraliaPrior to arrival, Tim and Rachael sent messages with additional info in preparation for our stay which was very helpful. Tim {?) greeted us upon arrival and made us feel very welcome and he looked after us throughout our stay. The winery, cellar door and surrounds are absolutely gorgeous. The lunch menu at the cellar door looked amazing, however we unfortunately left it too late and missed out on lunch. Next time!

AustraliaI really don’t have anything bad to say about the property. The only thing I would have liked was the BBQ to have been a little cleaner so we could use it. But this was very minor to the property.
We loved the location. close drive to all the beaches and victor harbour. having the winery across the road was beautiful. Tim and Rachel were incredibly helpful and welcoming. We really appreciated them giving us a private tasting. The food we had for lunch was amazing. All the staff were very helpful.

AustraliaA number of minor issues which, while they didnt affect our stay, let down the overall property. A tear in the bathroom flyscreen allowed many flys to come in. A scrap off rope between two star droppers by the patio detracted from the view. No rubbish bags for the kitchen bin. While there were 4 pieces of most cutlery, there were only 3 forks. bottom of fridge was dirty. All minor stuff but detracted from the overall package which otherwise would have rated much higher.
Breakfast provisions plentiful. Location was as quiet as we expected. Great views from the patio. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bathroom exceeded expectations. Loved the rain showerhead.
