Street noise in living area. Lovely apartments but just starting to get a little tired.

Stunning decor in common areas, great bar and breakfast restaurant. Close to ANU.

Good, sustainable, hip stay in a nice location, though apartments not ideal for family groups.

We chose 2, 2-bedroom apartments for our family groups—however, the see-through bathroom without a lock made for some awkward family interactions. Also, the apartment furniture, while it looks cool, is not ideal for elderly people, who had a difficult time getting up from the couch.

We loved the sustainability aspects, delicious vegetarian restaurant, location, view, and hip design! The bike rentals were a great perk as well.

A room like that (1 bedroom with lake view), should have a king sized bed…get rid of it the silly Triangular table and add wall shelves then there would be room for a king bed.

Breakfast was fine but I would have preferred to order a la Carte, but that was an extra cost to the buffet breakfast. Staff were very helpful.

You know what? As much as I was vibing with Nishi Apartments Eco Living by Ovolo, there was one thing that kind of bummed me out. They don't have a solid setup for deaf-friendly access when it comes to alerts, and that's something I think they could really step up. In this day and age, it's important for places to be inclusive and tech-savvy. Having an alert system that doesn't rely solely on phones or audible signals would be a major game-changer. They need to explore more accessible technology, whether it's visual or easy to access, in order to provide better access for deaf and hard-of-hearing travellers. Don't get me wrong, the overall experience at Nishi Apartments was fantastic, but making it more accessible for the Deaf and hard of hearing community would take it to a whole new level. It's all about embracing modern, inclusive tech, and I think they have some work to do in that department. So yeah, while I had a blast staying there, I couldn't help but notice this one area that could use some improvement. It's all about levelling up and making sure everyone, regardless of their abilities, can enjoy the Nishi Apartments experience to the fullest!

Nishi Apartments Eco Living by Ovolo is seriously the bomb! I recently had the chance to spend a single night there, and let me tell you, it was an absolute game-changer. I've been visiting Canberra for the past decade, and I've seen this place a few times, but this time, I just had to experience it for myself. What's so cool about Nishi Apartments is that it's this perfect blend of eco-friendly living and pure luxury. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you're hit with this modern, stylish vibe that's also super environmentally conscious. My one-night stay felt like a fantasy. I got to immerse myself in the lap of luxury while knowing that the place is all about sustainability. It was a total escape from the daily grind, and I savoured every moment of it. Nishi Apartments Eco Living by Ovolo isn't just a fancy stay; it's a whole experience. It's a place where you can have the best of both worlds: top-notch luxury and a commitment to the environment. If you're ever in Canberra and want a one-of-a-kind, eco-conscious, and super swanky getaway, this is the spot to hit up. Trust me, it's the ultimate blend of modern opulence and green living!

Parking is with Wilson’s. Don’t forget to pay as soon as you park out it could end up an expensive exercise. There is no air con in apartment which wasn’t an issue and could be opened up for air flow. There are ceiling fans in lounge and bedroom.

Friendly and welcoming reception and room provided everything we needed for our short stay including a very simple cooked and continental breakfast. There is a cinema downstairs so great if you want to catch a movie.

    • Two-Bedroom Apartment - Nishi

No parking, too many stairs in the apartment without handrails. No options for breakfast, the same breakfast (beans, eggs, mushrooms) everyday. The room didn’t have air conditioning (which we were notified about on the same day as arriving) but we couldn’t open the windows at night time, due to mosquitoes. The apartment was for 4 people, but the seating in the lounge room was only for three.

The view was incredible, wide view of the lake and parliament. Beds were comfortable. Great Wifi.

I didn't like that the bed was so close to the door and corridor, but I really don't have significant complaints about the room and the hotel itself.

The location is great, close to the city centre and is walking distance from the train/bus station. The room itself was probably more than I needed for a short stay - there was a fully equipped kitchen with a stovetop, oven, microwave, pots and pans, plate and cutlery etc. The balcony view was gorgeous and I really loved the products in the bathroom, especially the shower gel. Also loved the selection of books in the room, and there's an even better selection in the lobby downstairs which has a cosy reading space!

-The design of the apartment wasn’t practical. We couldn’t open the bedroom cupboards fully as the bed was too close. The bedroom was small. -We had to walk out of the bedroom and into a short corridor to access the bathroom. -The bathroom wasn’t well ventilated and though the bathroom was a reasonable size there wasn’t storage space for shower bags.

-The location was handy for bike riding around the lake. -The apartment had a spacious lounge, dining, kitchen area. -The hotel had a good bar.
