How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We were excited to use the pool but it was unfortunate that it was closed (before the actual cleaning time at 8pm) for cleaning (on a Sat evening). Cleaning could have been done outside the published opening hours.
The 2 bedroom cabin was just right for us (a family of 6).

We have stayed here so many times, and it is always a pleasure. Friendly staff and clean and comfortable cabins. The indoor pool is great for keeping the kids busy. We are excited to come back and see it all renovated.

Shower very very small. Water spilled out everywhere despite curtain that basically stuck to my body the entire shower! Bed moved away from wall, no breaks on it, quite worn.
Clean. Basic cooking facility. Secure parking. Friendly staff. Check in and out process simple and easy.

Shower was a little too small - might be claustrophobic for some.
Loved being so close to the centre of Warrnambool. Easy access to beach & shops, and super quiet and peaceful. It's definitely well worth visiting. My partner and I are keen to come back

The shower cubicle was a bit on the small side.
Really friendly, helpful staff. Cabin was a great size with a very comfortable bed. Very handy to the centre of Warrnambool. The extra facilities looked great but we weren't there long enough to try any of them out. Great value for money paid. Will happily stay again.

The WiFi didn't work (network would save but not connect), there are separate taps in the kitchen sink for hot and cold water (minor annoyance), and property maintenance (e.g., mowing) started fairly early in the morning.
The location was great, in a quiet neighbourhood but walkable to the main streets in Warrnambool. Appreciated the flexibility/alternate arrangements for a late check-in since we arrived in the evening after exploring the Great Ocean Road.

Thoroughly enjoyed the location of the park, we enoyed daily walks very close to CBD. Kids loved the park and tennis courts, shame the pool was closed for renovations. The park even sent us a text message about whale activity in the area which was unexpected and amazing. Would not hesitate to rebook

The wi-fi was intermittent to the point that we gave up and used our hot-spots. The light switches, power-points, handles and switches were all a bit worn out (yes we are in construction, sorry for the nit-picking), with the microwave power-point being of actual concern.
Everything at the Tasman Holiday park went smoothly and was easy to use. We were glad for the spacious and comprehensive accommodation.

Everything was fantastic :)
Rebekah went out of her way to give us suggestions of local dining options, best places to go whale watching and when my husband mentioned that we were only married 1 day, immediately upgraded our cabin. Beaches were easily accessible from the accommodation.
