The location was first class. Very near all the amenities and the sea. The hosts were very kind and friendly. They made you feel welcome and went out of their way to make your trip easy and hassle free. The rooms were clean.

I was surprised to find one single roll of half used toilet paper and three very small bars of soap in the bathroom. No shower gel or shampoo or cleaning products. I asked for and received toilet paper and shampoo. In the kitchen there was very little cleaning liquid for the dishes at the bottom of the recipient and nothing else: no salt, no sugar, no olive oil or some coffee, no napkins or paper towels. Upon request we got cleaning liquid and an ash tray. All the other things we had to buy. I visited Greece very many times (more than 30) în the last 32 years and Crete 4 times, so I know how things work there. I expected more attention to such " small" details from a 3-star hotel.

The location of the villa, right on the sea front is both an advantage (beautiful sea view) and a disadvantage due to the wind, which blew hard at the beginning of October. The small beach în front of the villa was no use because of the wind and waves. All beaches in the area are exposed to very strong winds, so my advice is not to go there in September and October, but look for places more sheltered West of Heraklion. Our apartment on the first floor was spotless and cleaned 3 times during our 7 day stay. It was big, with a nice terrace overlooking the beautiful garden full of trees, plants and flowers. Mind though the too tall step of the staircase, something should be done about it. I could not descend it without help from my husband. Our host was nice, always asking how we felt and trying to solve problems.

Excellent location, 1 minute from the sea (great snorkelling) 2 from a well stocked supermarket, 2 from KTEL bus stops running east west route along the island,10 minute walk along the coast to a bar and restaurants facing the sea (recommend the Kyma, authentic cooking, friendly service and Greek families eating here) and only 10 minutes’ drive from the airport. Very good facilities including everything needed for cooking: 2 electric rings, kettle, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery. Bonus points for good supply of very hot water, some cleaning products, soap, and mosquito plugs. Highlights for me The Norfolk Island Pine tree growing by our balcony where the sparrows roosted each night. Going to sleep listening to the waves. Being looked after so warmly by everyone. You know that a place which welcomes pets will be run by good people. Close to archaeological remains and easy access to Heraklion.

Bad sound isolation in the bedroom - garbage truck at 5am, people and cars passing by would wake us up even on the first floor. There were no glass windows, only wooden shutters. With super-windy weather during our stay (loud wind+waves), there was almost no quiet sleep.

Host was warm, welcoming and very helpful, we felt in safe hands. He helped with locating food places and bus stops and schedules. The place is just a walk away from the sea, which was amazing. Nice patio and garden, with a beautiful tree in front of our balcony. Very close there were a few supermarkets, meat stores, tavernas, beachbars, tourist shops, and most importantly - the bus stop. We could move around easily.

Loved my stay, the apartments are a 30 second walk from a beautiful quiet beach and a minute or two from a strip of restaurants/ supermarket. Staff were lovely and helpful and also it’s a great place to stay if you have a dog as dog friendly! Would definitely stay again.

It's very spacious with small kitchen and living room which can be used for sleeping area es well. The King coast bed in bedroom and small bathroom. The Kohinni Chani beach is less than 50m away. And big supermarket is at the begging of the street. Free sunbads and umbrellas are great!

a bit noisy the air conditioning plants of the other apartments (for us it was not necessary to use it, but having the windows open it was disturbing). The beach nearest to the apartment is not really clean and confortable.

The location is stunning! The owner is a professional and very nice person, he is excellent in communication. The connection to airport, Heraklion city centre and other places super easy to reach. Local shops and foodplaces excellent. Great beaches. Loved it. Wink wink, surfers, this place is also for you!

The apartment was so dated. Very little to make a meal. No toaster or microwave. Very dirty beds. Which I have photos of . I will be complaining about this place.

The property has an excellent location near the sea and it is west oriented, so one enjoys beautiful sunset colours in the evening. Although the description about the rental unit was with sea view, in reality it was a side/partial sea view, which I'd rather have had stated clearly while booking. That disappointed me initially, but I didn't mind after all. The place is quiet and one can hear the sound of the waves, which is wonderful. There is indeed noise from the planes approaching the Heraklion airport, but this is so in the whole area towards Heraklion, which is around 15 min away. I stayed in more properties in the area during my greater stay and confirm that. Thus, this is not a property-specific defect and it is unfair to rate the property for it. There are indeed a lot of mosquitos in the area, but the owners provided mosquito repellents in advance (several in the room), so I could enjoy my stay with open windows. Very grateful for that. The "one bedroom apartment with kitchen idea" is wonderful and comfortable, except furniture, windows-shaders-doors, and all facilities are very outdated. Also the cupboards and the dishes/cooking pans in the cupboards were dirty. I washed everything carefully twice before using it. I didn't get the feeling this was a thoroughly cleaned place. I think I wouldn't mind the outdated state of the apartment, had it been really clean, you know? In any case, in my view, after a small renovation (provided the cleaning will improve), it will be a really wonderful place to stay!
