Parking could be a concern as on street is 2hrs during daytime - id check with the owner if i was driving.

Fantastic location in Battery Point. 5 min walk to Salamanca place. Many little restaruants and cafes within 100m. Dozens more within a 15 min walk. Two bedrooms (one Queen bed in the lounge area) with a separating large bathroom. Comfortable with small fridge and tea/coffee/microwave. AC. Spacious. Quiet. Good wifi. I would stay here again. Fast and helpful communication from the host.

The single bed was not very comfortable , the pillows on both beds very hard unfortunately…. The decor needs a little sprucing up , keep its rustic charm but perhaps needs a wee bit of a revamp ….

The shower over the bath with no grab rails was difficult for 2 elderly women. The shower screen was not fixed and was quite dangerous as it was the only thing to grab onto.

The heritage building was comfortable and beautifully appointed . The host was friendly and supplied us with some fresh fruit from his farm. The location of Grand Old Duke was terrific with excellent restaurants and cafes close by.

The microwave needs a clean between guests - I think the previous guest had some microwave pasta boil over and it was still on the spinning plate, but I cleaned it out so no big deal, just needs to be added to the cleaning checklist.

The "granduer"of the historic building was a joy to stay in All amenities fabulous Very close to Salamanca, wharf area, city, many cafes & restaurants which we really enjoyed Happy hrs spent in rear garden very nice Thank you Ted for the yummy Tasmanian cherries 🍒 Will definitely stay again

Location, Location, Location! 3 minute walk to great bakery/cafe and restaurants. We enjoyed a bakery pic-nic breakfast in Arthur Circus Park located essentially next to the Grand Old Duke. Easy walk to Salamanca area and wharf. Quiet at night. Our apartment (Cambridge) was really more of a studio suite than an apartment - fine for having breakfast in the apartment. Enjoyed staying in hotel with history.

Ticked all the boxes for us , parking seemed limited around the area but we didn’t have a car so didn’t affect us. There is one space next to our apartment ( Wellington) though.

Everything. Perfect location, apartment was beautiful. Owner was so friendly and helpful with us arriving earlier and then helping us store our luggage. So close to walking everywhere. Beautiful area. Quiet location. Would stay here again for sure. Such beautiful rooms. Felt like staying in more to enjoy the apartment. Short stroll to Salamanca. The building itself has so much history.

Everything was perfect

The property was so beautifully decorated with vintage items and pine wood everywhere. It was located in historic Battery Point next to the most charming cafes and restaurants, and a stone’s throw away from the main hub of Hobart which is Salamanca. We loved the beds, the bed linen and the electric blankets! The house was well heated too.

Creaking floors noisy for downstairs guests. Upstairs is two bedroom unit . Parking on street difficult.
