Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

AustraliaWhile overall cleanliness was okay, The heavily grimed and stained sofa lounge cushioning should just be replaced. Strategically placed single bed blanket tucked over to hide very obvious stains a tad tacky. Extremely hard bed. Only 1 pillow per person. Light blanket covering, no extra blanket. Fought for blanket cover each night. Thought about using blanket covering lounge but was too grossed out. Grout grime and mould clearly visible in shower recess, should be addressed.
The customer service. Mary Liu was lovely and very accommodating to our late check in.

No one contacted me to say they had it, the reception wasnt manned, I had to phone a number to speak to someone who just said - yes we have your passport !!!!

New ZealandWe had to pay for wifi We didn’t get fresh towels only after 7 days and we still didn’t get fresh towels as we were there for 9 days. The Tea ,coffee etc never got refilled . We had to buy toilet paper as those were never refilled either. It was waste of time having the pillows because they were flat as And even the bags for the rubbish bins it’s just as well we did shopping and used those bags for the bin

AustraliaAn extremely unwelcoming arrival. Mary the "manager " was rude and accused me of lying. I had arrived 30 minutes prior to the usual check-in time. Mary angrily stated we don't do early check-in. I explained I had messaged requesting an early check-in but she denied receiving the message. I had a copy of the message and her response on my phone! They don't place a hold on the security bond it is debited immediately. And I had to provide an exact departure time. The room itself was dirty and had broken fittings, stained and holey linen, there was an electrical socket hanging off the wall. Bathroom drains broken, mouldy tiles and dodgy lights, I.e. they kept throwing the fuse and we had to constantly turn it back on. A disappointing stay.

AustraliaFrom the front door to the entire room it was old and had a terrible smell in the kitchen & bathroom. Sheets on both beds were stained and dirty I dont believe they changed them. I asked for new sheets and was given 2 top sheets and had to remake the bed myself. Towels were very old and thin as were the pillows, which we only got 2 of. No change of sheets or towels in the 6 days there no refill of tea or coffee or toilet paper we had to buy our own. Its a very small basic room the bathroom had a mold smell in the shower. The owners parked in our car spot to unload their groceries and told us to park in someone elses car spot which left us explaining ourselves to the other people who questioned this. Not alot of help or understanding from the owners. The wife did text me saying her husband refused to use the new sheets thats why my sheets were old and stained. Very over priced for what it is. We had to go to Kmart to buy pillows and towels. Curtains were old and very dirty when we opened them. No hair dryer. No shampoo/conditioner.
The air conditioner worked. Fridge worked well. Microwave worked and the iron.

AustraliaThe room we were first allocated had major issues with water running down from the above apartment to the inside of the walls into the bathroom in our apartment flooding the bathroom floor. The host of the apartment said she would get a plumber on Monday, (we arrived on Saturday) that was not going to suffice as we needed a clean and sanitary place due to having to have surgery and a resting place after the surgery for a few days. The host bought down a mop and bucket and towels for US to clean it up. We were transferred to a different room the following day which was at least dry and not leaking water everywhere. I was very disappointed as I have stayed here before and never had an issue, the place has been let go and is in need of a overhaul. I will not stay here again or recommend it to anyone in the future.

AustraliaLatch on door was broken. Property not safe and secure. Main door could easily be broken into with plastic card. Prepaid for a week, then they demand your credit card details and demand a $300 deposit. of which they will not return. Signs posted in laundry stating they will throw your clothes out if you leave your clothes in washing machine for more than 30mins Owner tried to follow me when I tried to leave one day early (due to safety and security of property) and placed key in return box at 5:30pm as required in the paper signed on entry. Only two pairs of tongs and a egg flip in the kitchen drawers.
