Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe walls were very thin or maybe just noisy neighbours; in which case isn't the hotels problem. Could here everyones conversations very clearly from our room when they were walking through the corridor.
Location was perfect as we were going to a concert at Qudos Bank Arena. Room was better than expected and very much value for money considering the location! Staff were super friendly and helpful.

AustraliaThe one and only criticism I have were the curtains (which looked like they were blood spattered and straight out of a murder scene, any colour but red would have been okay, photo included for reference). They were good for a laugh, not so much for sleeping though 😂 other than that, there was nothing else to be disliked.
Location was perfect for concert goers (within walking distance to train station), great value for money, front desk staff were exceptional, hotel amenities were excellent, breakfast and dinner were fantastic, the room was really clean and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

AustraliaOn Demand movies, they would play for a random amount of time before they would stop then restart at the beginning again. I fell asleep to one and woke up with it still playing probably had been looping the entire time. Just put in Netflix & Disney+ at least they would have worked better. Also room I was in unsure of others needs some maintenance the shower head had to be pointed to the wall and even then water flowed over the little hump under the shower door and soaked the shower mat. Not having a mirror in front of the sink was odd. Where the mini-bar fridge was there was some damage probably a new bottom put under it as wood was damaged at some point in past. Also a few extra hangers would be nice than just two.
Location of the hotel although I didn't know it was there and went to the one that was further away the Ibis Budget who couldn't find me in their system and told me I was booked at the other Ibis that shared reception with Novotel.

AustraliaThe shower in our room easily floodable so needed to watch out for slippery floors. There is drainage but water seems to go every where but!
Loved how close the venue was to acor stadium! Nice and quick walk. Very close to cafes and take away options. Great location. The staff were also wonderful and friendly, great sense of humour and professional. The bed was very comfortable!

AustraliaThey couldn't confirm that parking would be available. There is more parking 200 metres away but that was too far for me as I was by myself. There was an alarm clock in the room ( 502 ) that displayed the wrong time. I tried twice to change it with no success. Just annoying when you wake up in the middle of the night and look at the time
Breakfast was great - smorgasbord with lots of variety of hot and cold foods. Location was good, easy to find. The view out the window of Olympic park is amazing. Only a few steps to Accor stadium .

AustraliaIn one of the rooms we had a dated tiled shower floor (2nd room was great and updated with shower tray). The whole bathroom flooded and seeped out into the room carpet and took over 20 minutes to drain away. On check out I let the reception staff know, but the response of 'that's ok' was not what I expected to hear. There was a big plumbing issue that would lead to mould issues if not addressed.
We booked 2 rooms. Check in was great, friendly, informative staff. The rooms were clean and had a large comfortable bed. Equipped with tea and coffee, they were bright and was perfect for an overnight stay to see a concert. Location to the arena was perfect. We had a meal in the hotel restaurant which was really nice and not badly priced. But outside the hotel there were other places to eat. The rooms did feel a little dated, however they are doing renovations in the lobby so they might be extending this to refurbish the rooms. On check out it was very loud in the lobby as they were using jack hammers and it was a little hard to hear the reception staff. This noise did not carry through to the rooms and you only knew once getting out of the elevators. All in all it was a pleasant stay and perfect for what we needed.

AustraliaBasic for the price. Very measly offerings - 2 teabags, 2 sugars, 4 tissues left in the box, 2 cookies the size of my thumbnail. Nowhere to plug the kettle in unless you unplug something. The bed was a bit soft but ok for just one night.

AustraliaOnly problem I had is I think the carpets need to be vacuumed more frequently and better bin options for the rooms.
