Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaWe didn't have our rooms close, as requested some time in advance. Our room wasn't the configuration requested. Our second room was occupied. When we entered there were people in the room, very embarrassing. A trip back to reception and another room was issued but this none of this should have happened. It wasn't a last minute booking.

AustraliaDon't go with the hotel offer for parking at Wilson's. The station charges less then the hotel quotes. Paid $79 versus quite of $105.
Bed comfy, Choice of pillows all very clean. Shower pressure very good. Large fluffy towels. Quite busy with a lot of short stay foot traffic but not a problem. Recommend Joe Blacks next door for breakfast and Harry's over the road for drinks and lunch.

Prompt attention when the air conditioner and the TV had problems. Grateful for that. The bed was extremely comfortable. Disappointed in the location, with few eating places nearby. Close to Museum Station which was great Didn’t like the Japanese in-house restaurant and the cocktail glass at Happy Hour was mean in size, so only visited once there.

Then again, it's a short downhill walk down Golbourn Street to the main shopping district so all good there - the return walk is uphill, though. The lifts are very old as this was the old Travelodge hotel. See my other review...
My first stay at this hotel was one night - I would later return the same week for a longer stay. First impressions were good, although they were fully booked and couldn't give me an early check-in. Staff seemed friendly and they had quite a lot for sale at the front desk like sandwiches and drinks. Room was good (quiet!) for an overnight stay. Good facilities. Breakfast was included and very tasty, although the venue is nowhere near big enough for the number of diners...

AustraliaThis hotel used to be a Travelodge and the lifts are old and terrible. I got stuck in one of the lifts for ten minutes where the buttons would not react. It was unnerving when I was at my floor and the lift doors would not open. Pressing the emergency intercom button did nothing except make a noise but thankfully after a while I pressed Ground floor and it sprang into action. The staff said they would look into it. There was also a messy and inconvenient evacuation at 12am when the fire alarm went off. It was chaos. There was no announcement from management, just one poor male staff member on the desk who said it was an error (my guess is that someone was smoking or vaping in one of the rooms). Safety procedures need to be reviewed, in my opinion.
The staff at this hotel are very friendly and accommodating with good customer service skills; asking for extra toilet rolls or English breakfast tea was no issue for them. The aircon was busted in my original room so they moved me without a fuss. The room is not that large but very well featured with a small bar fridge, good coffee and tea making facilities (large coffee mugs - yes!) and small pods of milk. The TV was a decent-sized Samsung smart model and the beds were okay with reasonable support. Breakfast was included in my rate and very good too, with a pleasing variety of food that was frequently replenished, unlike at some better-known 5 star hotels I could name and shame! What a great stay in Sydney!

AustraliaI made a mistake with the initial booking and to solve the issue before arrival was challenging. Communication with the management of Ibis Group was atrocious. Not even Booking.com was able to communicate with them and assist. After endless amount of calls, messages and emails, they finally responded.
When we got there, everything was great. Staff were friendly and assisted us quickly with any issues or needs.
