How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

There is no lift in the building, so everything had to be carried up the stairs from the basement, but this was explained to us prior to our arrival and was reflected in the price. The unit was mostly clean except for the mesh in the screens which were in dirty and in need of repair.
The unit had everything we needed including free use of boogie boards and sand toys. Staff were friendly and helpful. The unit was within walking distance of the beach and playgrounds and a short drive to Oasis and Pacific Fair shopping centres.

Location is close to the beach and reasonably close to food outlets. The swimming pool and parking on premises made our stay comfortable

Some areas of the kitchen were needing of an upgrade. But honestly not really a problem as we were on holiday and provided us with what we needed.
It suited our needs and had plenty of space, we had 4 outside balconies. Air conditioning and the beds were good. We were able to cook in the Kitchen. The room was a little old and needed a few areas of repair or refreshing. Great washing machine and dryer. Linen was changed and room cleaned halfway through! That was good! Kids loved the pool. Location great. Secure parking. Honestly, we didn't want to leave and I would recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay.

I found a couple of dirty areas. The outside air conditioner (extractor) on the balcony had a layer of dirt/dust settled on it. Hard to miss visually! The window and door wire screens were noticeably dust-clogged. There was only ONE 'room service'; surprising, for an 11-night stay. An 'information booklet' would help, for guests. I had to chase up the Wi-Fi password at Reception. The intercom didn't work, couldn't 'buzz' the main front door to open, for visitors.
I liked the location of the units as they were walking distance from the surf beach. Also, not far from restaurants, surf club, bus & light rail services & Pacific Fair. I enjoyed using the spa & a dip in the pool. The kitchen facilities were well provided for. The air conditioner was really good - silent and easy to adjust the temperature.

Only very minor gripe is there was no aircon in the bedroom. This was north facing and got hot in the morning, apart from that everything was good

Theere was a construction happening and the patio of our room didnt have view to outside as it was blocked by council.
It was our second time, staying here and the management has changed to Lynda who is a responsive and friendly person. The location of this resort is handy and close to shops and restaurants. it has a small swimming pool but enjoyable enough for our child. Just remember to have shampoo, conditioner with you as it wasnot provided here. Our room was old but clean.

Not a dislike exactly just that there were maintenance that needed attention. For example, cupboard door off it’s hinge, oven door didn’t shut properly and an iron that had seen better days, just some general maintenance.
Great location!! Walking distance to the beach and shops.

The bedroom light did NOT turn off on our last night, my partner slept on the couch - i slept in the bed with my sunnies on to block out the light!!! (& it actually worked so slept well...)
