As it was just before the Wet that we arrived, it was clear that some yearly maintenance was soon to occur. I believe once this is done, it will be Excellent.

Kununurra is in the WA Kimberly area. We are travelling with a Pet, and the Temperature was 40 degrees. This motel had a lovely hidden Garden and great pool. We were made very welcome. However as it just before the wet, we arrived just before they would do their main yearly maintenance. The staff - brilliant. The safety - excellent. The facilities, neat , tidy and comfortable.

Limited staffing - we didn't arrive very late, but the reception was already closed so we had to queue up at the fish & chip shop to get our key. Expensive for what it is, but you don't have much choice in this part of Australia.

I was fine for parking as other than first and last night, my car was at the workshop but it would be great if there was a bit more parking (although I can see there is no room for them).

The staff were amazing. I had to cancel my first booking at no notice due to a break down and then try to book with no notice and no idea how long I needed the room for. The staff moved heaven and Earth to sort a room for my dog and I and were so flexible with daily updates. They were just amazing.

Fabulous Location. Near shops. Fish and chips shop on-site which we enjoyed. Lovely garden and small fountain. Loved the huge shared kitchen where we cooked up a hot breakfast 3 times. Cheap washing machine and dryer was very handy. Lovely staff. Outdoor chairs and table by your door. We really loved this place. Secure at night too.

One point that I didn't include in my previous review was the lack of recycling facilities/process at the Kimberley Croc. Unfortunately, this is hardly unique to this property. However, I highlight it as all accommodation providers could do a better job of providing recycling facilities for guests who desire to use them.

We asked for a quiet room. The first room that we were allocated was close to the road and definitely not quiet - a little more thought might have gone into fulfilling our request, given that our bookings were made a significant time in advance. At the end of our first stay, we pointed out some rooms that we thought would likely be quieter and were allocated one of these for our second visit.

My mum and I stayed in a queen/single on two occasions. The rooms were OK, serviceable but not outstanding. The queen/single rooms are at the front of the property - these have proper doors and windows. Most of the remaining rooms are laid out around a courtyard. The courtyard is lovely. However, these rooms have glass doors, which you pull curtains across - not especially good for keeping out either noise nor light.

The communal kitchen is a great idea but it should be cleaned more than once a week. We found mouse droppings in the oven.

Shower was small

Staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Were waiting at airport for me. Closeness of town, extremely convenient location. Arranged Ord river cruise for me.
