Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNothing really, we understand that we are in the middle of the desert with very accommodation options but $220 a night for a bush tent seems excessive.
Beautiful location and friendly staff. Clean and practical facilities. Breakfast was nice enough and kitchen facilities were very spacious. Air conditioner bush tent with power sockets was handy

United StatesOur cabin was quite dark even with 2 bedside lamps and a ceiling light. With the air conditioner on, we couldn’t really “open” the windows. Breakfast both mornings were quite crowded. On our second morning, 2 bus loads of day trippers showed up. The kitchen opens out to the dining area. It didn’t seem like the kitchen had sufficient ventilation because cooking smell was strong. My clothes smelled of cooking both mornings.
Our tent/ cabin was spacious and clean. Our room rate included half board. Breakfast was buffet style and on both mornings, there was scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausages, bacon, tomatoes, baked beans and toasts. Quite delicious. Instant coffee was available. For dinner we could pick most items on the menu.

GermanyNothing really, keep up the great work.
We had a great stay at King's Creek Station. The bush tents were small and basic as expected, but comfortably equipped with actual beds. The external bathrooms were clean and nearby. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast included a reasonable variety and was completely sufficient (it's a station, not a city hotel after all). Very good wifi which we really did appreciate in such a remote place. Conveniently located just a few kilometres off King's Canyon - we stayed for one night on our way from Uluru to West MacDonnell Ranges and Alice Springs. We enjoyed the silence at night and watching the clear skies. The highlight had to be the helicopter tour which was a stunning experience. Highly recommend and would love to be back one day.

SwitzerlandThere is just a BBQ, but no other means for cooking. We asked for a pan and wooden spoon and were provided with them. It helped! And could just be part of basic equipment. So, not much to complain about!
Wonderful glamping with view of Giles range. Luxury "tent" with all comfort in middle of nature. Exceptional location and quality.

United StatesWe did not like having to use a wagon to drag all of our stuff from the parking lot to the tent. Would have been nice to be able to drive up to drop off belongings, and then use the remote parking lot for parking.
We really enjoyed this property. Walls and roof were a canvas tent, but on a wood platform floor. The room was spacious, comfy bed and a small fridge and coffee maker were supplied. Full and spacious bathroom attached. The back deck had a gorgeous view of the outback. Short drive over to the reception area for breakfast, as well as other meals if needed. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food delicious! Great location to drive out and experience Australia’s red center.

AustraliaWell, nothing really. We chose the least expensive option and didn't expect any different. The bush tent has air-con and you just wouldn't stay if it didn't. It would be far too hot and uncomfortable.
For an outback experience this was great. A true sense of being with nature. The birds, an odd dingo, the station's camels, the resident Jack donkey, the red dust, the red sunsets, the hot, warm and cool winds and breezes. The station's cafe is fantastic. Great coffee and meals. Breakfast was included in our package and it was no trouble at all for staff to pack us a takeaway breakfast one morning because we were getting up early to go to Kings Canyon to walk the rim before the REAL heat of the day set in.

AustraliaIt was very windy when I stayed and the glamping tent was quite noisy to sleep in. Had to be careful with all the prickles when going for a walk, as well as keep the door or screen closed at night to stop all the bugs from coming inside.
The view was amazing, the stars at night were overwhelming, and bathroom and kitchen facilities provided were more than adequate. Great location to get to bushwalks at Kings Canyon and Kathleen Springs.

SingaporeThe entry to the tent area requires one person to get out of the car to unlock a pin lock, open the gate, close the gate, and enter the red dirt road for 1.5km to finally reach the tent entrance. Quite troublesome in a way. Am not sure if the lock can actually block any intruder who tries to enter (perhaps for blocking animals?)
The location is very close to Kings Canyon. The stay offered breakfast and dinner! The dinner wasn't expected and it had quite a lot to choose from. The tent is located a bit outside of the reception area so it gives you a wild feeling at night. We heard a camel's sound which is quite cool. The room is quite nice and neat, though it's in the wild, you can feel that the owner really tries to maintain the best standard.

AustraliaThe accomodation is more like glamping which is totally fine considering the location but it should be advertised as such not as a room. The ‘cabin’ has AC which is great in the hot times.
The staff was lovely - especially at the reception. The pool was great but didn’t really enjoy it because of wasps that were circling around.
