Microwave would have been good. Too much light coming through window over door even with blind down.

Heaters took a long time to heat up. Think the mirror in bathroom was not cleaned properly as there was drawings that became clear in mirror with shower steam.

Deano the staff member who greeted us was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were basic but had everything we needed.

Needs a bit of a glow up - cracked paint in the rooms, bags of linen left in hallways.

Great location, reasonable price, friendly staff.

There is so much history here and it would be good if there was some information onsite about it. I was a little nervous being next to the old asylum but it was a very popular hotel and booked out during our stay.

This hotel is good value for money and on lovely grounds within walking distance to the lake, rail trail, MTB trails and town centre (it is a walk back uphill on the way back though). The hotel is the old nurses quarters from the asylum. The rooms were clean and comfortable and Dean was friendly and helpful.

No kitchen sink to wash coffee cups Pull out couch could have better mattress as could feel bar under back Not big enough room to have a pull out couch, made the area hard to move around or place luggage. Double bed should have been in separate room instead of single bed and single bed in main room where pull out couch was. Pull out couch should be in spot where double bed was. This configuration would provide better use of space. Not good at answering email enquiries Some photos and information history on place and nurses that lived there in its heyday sound be great addition to provide even more nostalgia to the place. Any ghost stories/encounters/experiences would add that sense of excitement/entertaining fear to stay. Add to the history of the place Better breakfast inclusions A package deal with asylum tour would be a great offer to consider providing

The history of the place and era Art Deco Bathroom was big and functional with toiletries provided Good separate single room Milk provided for coffee and bar fridge provided Quiet Friendly manager who was very easy going and welcoming.
