Central location in Darwin city. Cool rooms with balconies. Large common pool area. Guest laundries on several floors. Kitchenette with utensils, microwave, plugin cooktop, toaster etc. TV with working remote.

The Queen bed in my room had one side I could sleep on. That is my only grumble. It is not the Hilton but for the cost good value.

For the price it would be hard to beat. It is an older building but kept very clean and tidy. The rooms are simple but have what you need to be happy, with cooking equipment and a microwave which most places do not have these days. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I would stay again You are on the edge of Darwin CBD so everything is a walk able distance

The hotel is in a very central location. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and dealt quickly with any concerns that we had. The undercover parking was easily accessible.

Some of the facilities needed work eg the pool/bbq area lights didn’t work, some laundry facilities unreliable, cockroaches under our sink, had to request a change of room after first day due to deficiencies (better room provided promptly).

Basic hotel and doesn’t pretend to be anything else. Clean and fine. Wifi would be nice instead of have to hotspot the phone for business in the room.

Very good cafe next to the hotel. Manager stayed up for my late arrival and was very happy and friendly even at 1.30 in the morning.

No Wi-Fi in rooms just reception. Facilities somewhat shabby and run down. Cooking facilities ( which we didn't actually need) was only a microwave and two solid electric rings

The bathroom wasn't super clean - sink still had toothpaste dribble from previous occupant, built up grime, and hair in the shower stall. Not really hotel standard cleanliness if you know what I mean but not so bad that I felt the need the need to ask for another room.

Location was great - very central. The e-scooter bay out the front was super handy.

We booked the family apartment which consists of two adjoining rooms connected by an entrance porch. Our travel companions found the single beds uncomfortable however staff changed them to a double. Generally speaking the facilities and decor need updating.

The location is excellent, close to Smith Street mall, waterfront, Mitchell street and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful and it was very good value.

The switches for the room we were in were very confusing - some switches had multiple lights and the tv on the one switch, some switches did nothing

The second two bedroom apartment that we rented had erratic ceiling fans in one room (only worked on the high setting and tended to be noisy, so we made do we the air conditioning on low and quiet, while the second room initially gave issues with getting the air conditioning to work - although the receptionist quickly showed us the trick with the switches and that problem was overcome.

The Luma Luma staff were helpful all through our booking and then changed booking arrangements. They were helpful when we modified our plans. When we had any enquiry or question they were consistently ready to assist. The apartments are conveniently located for easy access to the centre of Darwin and only ten minutes walk from the Waterfront or the Esplanade or the Zen rooftop bar. They also represent value for money, especially as we wanted a two bedroom apartment, compared to other accommodation in Darwin.

Luma Luma is an older facility with all the maintenance issues you would expect, but it is clear the operators have done their best to keep up .It is a relatively inexpensive set of apartments so one should not expect 5 star accommodation.

Luma Luma's location was the main determining factor - right in the city. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. The room was basic but cool and clean with all of the amenities one would expect - good air conditioning, hot shower, comfortable bed ... what more would one need?
