How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

the stomping all night of the hr I came there the wind down I got a tad wound up by that and the constant stomping it never ended
I loved the reception staff they were awesome , it was school holidays when they stayed ! found it to be very stomping the grounds above

Spas near the pools were not spas.. they weren't hot. You jump in expecting it to be hot. But its the same temperature as the pool. Not happy about that.. However this was the only issue.

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Two singles made into a double that were different heights, not secured so they rolled when you moved and SO uncomfortable. The sheets were rough and stiff and didn’t stay tucked in! The whole apartment was dirty (years of built up grime and spills unclean soft furnishings). The furniture and layout were great but it needed a BIG spring clean.
The swim up room concept was fabulous and the setting, room layout and location was perfect.

Bed was to firm for our liking. Woke up sore. Tv remote didn’t work fully. Fan did need cleaning. The pool was good, good amount of shade. Water temp was good but does need some work. Small little details to the room that would make it better could be done. None of the above as big negatives. Just little things that would of made our stay slightly better if they were improved.
Location was great. Close to everything. Room wasn’t to bad. Simple and mostly clean. Liked how our room walked out into the pool. Pool temp was good. Had shade. Nice and quiet hotel. Staff were friendly. Room was Good for basic needs.

No access to a swim out room on the lower level like we had last year due to maintenance around the pool deck. We anticipated this room due to the quiet times at mantra heritage in early February unfortunately not the case this year not to worry only disappointed about the late notice of these required works as they were obviously scheduled well before our notification then allocated a room on the fourth floor. The staff were once again very welcoming,friendly professional & courteous and there were no noise distractions from maintenance workers that disturbed our stay.
Can’t beat the location.

The mattress was not up to standard. At times throughout the night you could feel the springs of the mattress digging into your body.
Location and facilities. Apart from the bed, perfect place for a married couple to stay.

Bed was on rollers on a tile floor so would roll everywhere when you touched it. Staff quickly fixed it for me! 👍toilet paper left a lot to be desired. And there was only 1 roll. Pool and bbq area were great, as was the wildlife show put on during our stay!

Uncomfortable beds. We were there for 5 nights, room wasn’t serviced during that time, no directions on what to do with rubbish. Provided with 2 rolls of toilet paper for a 5 night stay.
Location is in the middle of town. Swimming facilities are good. Good sized suite.

The room spa was outdated and so heavily chlorinated it was unusable - the room would have being better without it/ would have more outside room. Room was very dark - very little natural light. Pool furniture on units deck needed repair/ replacement.
Loved the pool and location. Was worried at first when I read reviews. But really enjoyed our stay here. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Great location! We were close to the beach, restaurants, shops, supermarket & only a 5 minute walk to the marina. The staff were fabulous, very friendly & helpful.

Bath/shower combo would be tough for some

We had a mountain view, however it also included the petrol station across the road. Also would be good to have a desk to work from, instead had to use the outdoor setting.
Central location, reasonably sized room. Relaxing pool. Good, friendly service which also allowed us to check in slightly earlier than 2pm.
