How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The shower was barely hot, felt like a luke warm shower, this would probably prevent me from staying there again though everything else could not be faulted.
Location was excellent, 2 min walk to Salamanca. Very large rooms, good bed and linens, kitchen and laundry facilities as well. Free parking in surrounding streets over the weekend. Reception staff were exceptional.

There was old soap residue in the soap holder of the shower and we had to clean it before using it. The toilet backed up with water when it was flushed and was blocked. The kitchen bench was dirty near the coffee maker. Parking was extra.
It was very close to everything and was comfortable.

Was charged twice for my stay. Still waiting for refund to my Amex card.
Staff were friendly and helpful. I had difficulty getting the tv to work and Taylor came up to fix it straight away. Then had difficulty with heating and Taylor came back up to sort that out for us. Couldn’t have been more pleasant or helpful.

Limited number and some difficult parking spaces. Shops and takeaway shops not within easy walking distance. Water from the showers easily ran out of the bathroom door onto the carpet.
Proximity to Salamanca Markets and wharf was good.

The accomodation is just less than 10mins' walk to famous Salamanca Market & less than 10mins' drive to the city area. There are charges for the parking but we get to park at the basement of the accomodation which is relatively taxing.

Ok my bad read the fine print parking is run and owned by another agency, read the information and book underground parking, I was lucky eater weekend street parking was free Facilities are functional, long term stay request towel changes, bring hdmi lead to connect source or DVD,

At check in, our rooms were not ready which is fine as we were early however there was no bathroom we were able to use and had to walk across to the park. After a long travel, this was a inconvenience
The room we had was so large, a full separate sitting area and gally kitchen.

I would like a full length mirror to check my outfit before going out.
Excellent location, allowing one to easily walk to activities, restaurants, historic places at Salamanca, Kelly’s Steps, Battery Point and the waterfront. My room was very quiet, despite the building being on the corner or two busy roads.

Some large water glasses would be good.
Great space; could play cricket in the lounge if so disposed. Good kitchen. laundry facilities really handy. Short walk through St James park to Salamanca Place, with many bars, cafes etc. Great bookshop there also. Warm welcome from Colleen, CBD only 500 metres away, as is the waterfront. Good value for money, with lovely bay views from the 4th floor.

If I really had to pick anything, the silicone in the shower needs replacing and the room door really needs to be planted as the pile on the new carpet is lovely and high, making the door very difficult to open. This has potential to be a hazard in a fire.
Easy booking, friendly reception, well supplied kitchenette, especially for a studio apartment, new carpet!! Coffee pod machine.
