Location is second to none. Cafe and snorkeling literally 20 steps away. Steve the host was friendly and accommodating. Rather than 5 star Accom it's charming and rustic like your quintessential beach shack. Handy kitchen with fridge and stove etc. A little noise from a function over the road on a Saturday night but it didn't go too late and wasn't loud enough to keep us awake. Will book it again. Highly recommend it.

You ask me! I can't think of anything.

The awesome rustic chic made us grin 360: that's how a European would picture one of these famous beach houses on the beaches of Oz. Matthew had been the most accommodating and friendly host we can think of.. Renting the SUP on short notice, for example, went painless, as everything else.! The accommodation was simple, yet clean, comfortable and sweet as! If you'd expected an upscale dwelling, all posh, rectangular and beige, you came to the wrong place. Cheers!

The accommodation itself is a neat, clean studio apartment, however the location is sheer magic. Unless you had a house on stilts built on the rocks you could not be any closer to the water - it is incredible! A 6 min walk one way to the main Manly area and surf beach and 3 min walk the other way to Shelley Beach and the marine reserve - what an absolute paradise.

The place smelt of mould and everything (rugs/cushions/bedding/towels) were all damp. There was no aircon, only a small fan in the lounge area, and only one tiny window in the bedroom, so no air flow through the room, so you can't even hide the smell. The curtain in the bedroom was covered in mould, we ended up leaving after one night as couldn't sleep there again.

The only thing this accommodation has going for it is the location. It is extremely overpriced for the state of the rooms, it was the same price to stay at Manly Pacific.

Superb location right on the Esplanade with close walking access to Shelly Beach and some lovely cafes. Slightly longer walk to Manly corso if you want access to more restaurants and night life. Very quiet location at night.

Bedding was very poor, beds collapsed into the centre. Very uncomfortable sleep.

We paid a $500 bond before we were given keys and access and told it would be refunded at end of stay. we still don’t have that money back and we left place cleaner than we found it. It was grubby, not very secure, noisy and bathroom was very very basic AND, we want our $500 back

Well, where do I start! There are 60 photos on the web site, 26 of which do not show any of the rooms. Plus there are 5 floor plans on the web site so 31 of the photos don't show the actual accommodation. And with those photos there is no indication of which "apartment" is shown. We stayed in the downstairs "bed sit" and the photos on the web site DO NOT match what was presented. There are substantial trip hazards in the room because of the uneven floor levels, the hot water is scaldingly hot (surely this is illegal???), there is no air conditioner or fan - it would be very hot in there in summer. It is called a "Deluxe Queen Studio", an over-the-top exaggeration. The benches had to be wiped down upon arrival, there wasn't even a spare toilet roll and the shower curtain does the usual trick of clinging to you whilst showering. And finally the claim that the outside of the building is reminiscent of places on the Greek islands is a poor excuse for not maintaining the building at all.

Matthew was very helpful and the check-in process was straight forward and well done. On site parking was awkward but absolutely necessary as parking in Manly is IMPOSSIBLE. The free wi-fi was appreciated.

Can't beat the location. Simple but nicely decorated single unit. I staid for a nearby conference and was very happy with my stay.
