Great view of Townsville harbour. It is a very convenient location, with heaps of good restaurants and bars on the same street. easy to catch the ferry from the hotel to Magnetic Island

We went late winter, a consistent 27 degrees celsius. Would of loved to use the pool but it was ice cold.

Value for money. Great view from our 10th floor balcony. Stayed in the Two bedroom dual key apartment. Ideal for families with teenage children or taking an extra family member. One of the more outer locations but plenty of eateries close by to choose from. If you are ok with walking, the CBD and the Strand are all do-able walks.

The workers upstairs drilling stuff and hammering things at 8 am , although in saying that I understand a maintenance schedule.. and not everyone has driven 1600kms in 2 days ,, 😉and the misses found a bundle of hair on her pillow, luckily we always bring our own

Aug stay - Damp smell of room when it was shut up, so noisy when door up due to Freight Trains running late & V early from ships Some furniture & carpets require attention

We caught a taxi from the airport and the driver dropped us at the wrong Metropol Hotel. We caught a second taxi and he took us on a bit of a tour when indeed the place we were staying was just a short distance away. Not the hotels fault but nevertheless somewhat annoying. We spoke to other guests who said the same thing happened to them. From street level there did not appear to be any clear signage to show where the entrance to the hotel is located either by night or day. Being tucked away in that corner it is not very well seen from the street. A bit of noise from the work going on in the building underneath but not unbearably so.

The location was good and we had a good view over the river, city and marina. Close enough to restaurant's in the same street and in the city. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

There were no screens for sliding doors and a microwave was missing.

The room was clean and tidy with a great view of the mountains and parts of the city and the ocean.

Unfortunately the restaurant was being refurbished, had to go out for meals, coffee. No signage to indicate office/check-in at the kerb. 5 - 10 minute walk to restautants and pubs/bars

Room and balcony Pool nice too

Clean comfy rooms . Beautiful to have a balcony for evening breeze Friendly staff Temperamental card reader to use lift . Toiletries very basic and not enough shampoo/ conditioner for 2 people so pack your own or ask for extra on arrival . Reception staff lovely - absolutely fab in most other ways .

Hot water not so hot, other than that all okay. Not to do with The Oaks, The Bayview Restaurant, on the corner, not wonderful, but okay. Prices in Townsville seem to be overpriced and expensive.

The lady at checkin was uninviting

Location was perfect. Rooms are comfortable and had everything we needed. The rooms were cleaned daily and we were given fresh towels. The lady at the reception was uninviting at Checkin. Other than that, we would definitely stay again.

The location is on the wrong side of the river and close to the industrial wharf. The kitchenette needed more cooking utensils. No bottle opener.

The view from the fair sized balcony was excellent.
