Only minor things such as the sofa with it’s taped-up repairs and the harsh neon-strip light in the double bedroom but got used to those things quite quickly.

The manager, Mike, was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. First impression of the apartment in the gloom of arriving on a dark day/evening of torrential rain was of a stark, drab place. But when a day later it got sunny, it was just right. Peaceful, well-equipped and with a great shower, etc.

The location was ok but needed more cleaning in the room to tell you the truth saw lots of dead cockroaches but otherwise it's ok.

In-between cleaning is only for those who finish more than 7 days. No supplies are refilled in between. Toilet roles are provided on a very minimal basis. For 4 of us for 5 days, we got 2 rolls! The rest you have to buy. The room we booked had cooking facilities, but the utensils were not enough. Sugar, coffee, milk, etc we just buy when the initial 4 to 6 packets are done.

Mike made sure all are looked after. The location is great. Bikes available for rent. Very secure place. Access codes for both the entry and car park. There is a coin-operated laundry facility. $4 per wash. Coles Express and other shops nearby. Could walk to CBD

The bathroom was a little mouldy in the tiles in the shower area. The fridge door wouldn't close due to freezing up of the ice box.

The pool looks lovely. They have bike rental if you want to explore the area. Rooms are basic but suitable for my needs.

Odd layout of rooms , small bathroom handbasin doubles for sink to wash dishes. Small wardrobe . Huge shower room. Plenty space overall but just an odd configuration.

There were a couple seedy people hanging around the car park when we arrived, but worth the stay considering the price.

Pool looked inviting though we didn't swim, location was convenient, the beds were clean and comfortable

room smelled really moldy when we arrived - turned the aircon on and it initially made it worse. opened up the door and kept the air con and fans on and it cleared. moved the bed to retrieve a pen and discovered papers, dust and dirt under there. bottom of the shower wall very grubby.

a little bit further from the esplanade/city then we would have liked, but easy enough to get ubers around. would recommend getting a hire car if staying for a longer period to travel to the many beautiful areas, but that is our fault for not doing our research about location and the area.

the kids loved the pool. room was quiet. The airconditioning and fans worked well and kept it cool. Useful to have the cooking facilities in the apartment to make breakfasts. Great family accomodation with plenty of space and good value for money. They hosts were friendly and very helpful with tourist information. There is a nice pub/bistro very close by, as well as a supermarket and service station. We were first time visitors to cairns, and there are tours such as the skyrail, and barrier reef ones, which pick you up directly from the hotel which is very convenient.

The room I had faced a wall. Would have preferred a room that looked onto the courtyard/pool area. I'll remember to ask for this next time.

It was relatively clean and I didn't experience any noise issues. It was a handy location for my purposes.

I was not happy to arrive to be told to get my group our of the accommodation. I was not aware what happened that morning but I would of preferred a more professional approach by Mr Scott instead of looking at me in disgust and yelling get them out of here! Apart from that I enjoyed my stay and Mr Scott was very accommodating on arrival and helpful.

We loved the pool but restricted noise. It was clean and rooms were reasonable.

while the ensuite was a good size the shower was small. hot water was very good but the size of the shower just made it a little awkward.

The manager was accommodating with our change of plans due to a flight cancellation and helped out where he could. Location was close to the airport and the price was very reasonable

This might be unavoidable in Cairns since it is so tropical but there were ants and little bugs in the unit. Not a lot but there nevertheless. This could also be from past guests who left food out but I mention it in case it is a dealbreaker for future guests.

Host was great. Studio was comfortable.
