Problem with the plumbing and had to complain three times before it was fixed. However it was fixed and pleasantly done.

the bed was quite hard and pillows were a little flat and there no extra's in the cupboard to assist with that request

very central , rooms were clean and welcoming, staff were exceptional and friendly. and breakfast was really nice. don't forget to check out bushfire on the ground floor for dinner !

The WiFi was slow and unreliable. A bit of noise at night since the window didn't shut completely.

Price. Also, they were going to charge extra for car parking, but due to security gate not functioning I was able to park at no extra charge.

The WiFi didn't work at all for us - although that wasn't such an issue for me as I just used my husbands data as a hotspot. The rooms are also not very sound proof, so I'd strongly advise getting some earplugs which really helped cut down on the noise (except for the evening of an Italian festival directly across the road, which kicked on until at least midnight!). Also a couch in the room (there was definitely space in our room) would have been nice.

The location and view from our room were both excellent. We were also fortunate enough to see a fantastic fireworks display from the comfort of our room. The room was a great size as well. The buffet breakfast was also not too bad and pretty well priced (if you pay ahead it's $20 instead of $25). We didn't interact much with the staff, but they were friendly and helpful whenever we did.

Staff were very helpful. Position was great. room was spacious and comfy with lovely views over the inlet. (Need to ask for a high floor to get the view. )

Little bit disappointed when we inquired about an extra two nights when we returned from port Douglas and the woman on the desk didn’t seem all that interested in helping us and said to get on booking.com if we wanted a better rate.

We loved the view from our balcony. Close to everything. Could walk everywhere

the tuk tuk vehicles driving around streets and past the Pacific Hotel were extremely noisy. they played extremely loud music, stopped at the intersection as well as the people riding on them screaming and singing loudly. they were frequently driving slowly past the hotel past midnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. one night they were still driving around at 3am. I couldn’t sleep on any night until they stopped as they were so loud, and I was wearing earplugs. I only had a few hours sleep on Saturday night and had to get up very early for a tour. it ruined my day being so tired. Why is the council allowing this? why are they allowed to drive around with music playing you can hear streets away it is so loud, past 11pm? I won’t be staying at Pacific Hotel again due to these vehicles, although I really liked the hotel and the staff and service.

We struggled with the hotel wifi as in most of the hotel we couldn’t get access to it or when we did, it would kick us off. Really annoying when needing to access wifi for activities booking and flight check ins.
