The bathtub/shower is extremely tall, very hard to get in and out of.

The location was great. The staff went above and beyond to help with everything. The room was clean. The restaurant for breakfast was very good

It was quite hot in the rooms, but we just turned off the heating and we were fine. The sofa bed was a bit worn with a torn fabric.

The room was nice and spacious. There was an excellent coffee machine. The hotel is 5 minutes away from the market place and is very centrally located. Super nice staff.

Breakfast was excellent, both the buffet items ( super fresh) and the cooked to order dishes. The bar is very inviting -you want to linger!- and the restaurant is superb. We dined there several times, even with the rest of Basel at our feet. The location is lovely, tucked away yet steps from the shopping and sights.

Really enjoyable stay in the Set Hotel (new building). Rooms recently re-done, all with quality furnishings. Staff was super helpful and the gym is decent.

It's a real charmer! The building itself..the exquisite neighborhood, the individual artist's rooms, the little winding staircase to the upper floors, the quintessential Antiquated bar downstairs

Beers and snacks were a bit pricey but there was a grocery within easy walk.

Excellent, clean room. Decent sized bathroom and great shower and good hot water. An easy walk to museums, sites but still in a quiet neighborhood, granted we were there off-season

Nothing to not like.

The Hotel was in a great location, easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. My husband and I shared a Family Room with our two adult daughters. The girls were on a fold out sofa bed in a separate room. Our room was comfortable and the whole space was large enough for the 4 of us. The bathroom was a decent size as well. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night which was lovely, great service and food.

I could not get the coffee machine to work. I thought I booked a room in the historical building but it turned out the room was in a new building across the street. Very modern and comfortable, but I like the charm of historical houses. That was the reason I chose this hotel. I could at least enjoy the view of the old building across the street.

The room was fantastic. Bathrobe and kitchenette. Free water in the fridge. Lovely products such as soap, shower gel etc.

Shame that there is no lift when you’re in a room on the top floor, but understand that it isn’t possible due to the history and maintaining the character - just gets you working those legs more!

We didn’t add on the breakfast option as it was 25F per person which was a bit expensive for us.

Good amount of space in our room, perfect for our 1 year old. Safe cot provided. Great location for exploring the old town. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the travel card was a fantastic touch.

Everything was great.

We stayed here in December while we were visiting Christmas Markets and it was very centrally located and walkable from the train station. We stayed in the new building across the street and it was very comfortable. We had breakfast one morning in the restaurant and it was very good. The next morning we ate in the coffee shop/cafe for breakfast and this was good too.

No elevator to get to our room. Loft room is not made for tall people.

Good location, nice view from the 3rd floor family room but no elevator. Breakfast was good the clerks were very helpful even when we wanted a bucket of ice to have in the courtyard.
