Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaWell I don't like to complain , but I found that the room lacked shelving we had to put all of the toiletries on the floor , it would have been a lot more comfortable had we had shelving. Also in the shower we were not able to keep the mat dry as the water kept gushing out. Maybe there could be a higher edging around the base to overcome this problem .

Very convenient location for my travel. Clean room with all the basics covered and a very comfortable bed with choice of pillows. There was a laundry available to use.

ChinaAs it is mainly a value-for-money hotel, the rooms are relatively small. Probably less than 20 square metres. We were given rooms without city views, but the air circulation system was good and extremely quiet.
I booked this hotel for a short visit to the University of Sydney. This hotel faces directly towards the University of Sydney and is very convenient to visit the campus. Also, this hotel is next to Broadway Sydney, which has food courts with a superb selection of international food, as well as Coles supermarkets, home textile supermarkets, official Apple shops and luxury shops. The location definitely exceeds expectations in terms of amenities, spending and entertainment. The hotel includes a rich cereal breakfast, which saves a lot of extra breakfast costs.

AustraliaI booked a king room with twin beds (available on booking.com) because I was sharing it with my colleague. When we asked at reception they said that the room had only one bed, so they changed it to a queen room with twin beds. When we got in the room, we did not have any windows and the twin beds were together and shared the covers, which in the end is like sleeping on a king mattress... The extractor fan is extremely loud and impossible to turn off. The temperature dropped, and there is no AC in the room so we were cold at night.
Good location and reception is open until 10 pm. It has a common area on the 3rd floor, very cosy and convenient that we used for working on our laptops.
