How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The communal areas could be used by guests to relax in and was very homely and cosy. The room was pristine, well decorated and very comfortable. Had a great sleep as bed was so comfortable and the area was quiet. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Lisa the host was lovely and very hospitable.

Private entrance and very convenient location for us. We had a lot of family staying at the caravan park nearby and after a long day on the road thought we'd do a b&b instead. The host Leesa was happy to supply a small side of mushrooms (pre arranged) with the set breakfast which was appreciated.

Great location near the Longyard Hotel and other fast food outlets and shopping facilities. Walking distance to ALEC. Hospitality was 5 start, exceptional service, great breakfast and will definatley be staying again.

Easy to find, close short drive into town and even has buses that are a stone throw away just in case. The best pub in Tamworth is walking distance and so are the local retail stores.
The service was great and my wife and I felt very comfortable the minute we walked in. good old fashion service and very helpful with any questions. Easy, relaxed atmosphere is what we were after and it is what we definitely got at Plumes. Thank you guys.

Cannot fault Plumes
From the moment we walked in the doors we were greeted like family. We were shown around the Bed & Breakfast and even to our room which is something you won't get in the big hotel chains. Most of our trips involve an early start to our day which means we cannot use a hotel for breakfast most of the times resulting in a quick dash to a fast food chain, at Plumes we were able to select our time for breakfast and we were waited on like we were royalty. I cannot fault Plumes Boutique B&B as this stay was the most welcome we have felt anywhere.

Not a thing as far as we were concerned.

Nothing needed.
I booked last minute at the accomodation and was welcomed in with amazing customer service. My room was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and had more than I needed. There were fresh fluffy towels, robes, and comfortable sheets. I wish I could've stayed for longer. In the morning I received a lovely home cooked breakfast and coffee which was perfect. I highly recommend staying here and look forward to returning.

The breakfast was amazing, the host worked hard to meet all our requests weather it was cooking breakfast or any other requests that we had. We are definitely coming back with family and friends, we highly recommend it to everyone thanks for looking after us lisa .

Took a while for hot water to come through.
Rooms are large and comfortable. It is an older building but they are keeping it well. Staff are helpful. It's very good value for money.

Friendly and helpful staff. The common areas were very nice and the room comfortable. The views onto the golf course were pleasant and peaceful, an escape from the position in a commercial area. The quality breakfast made Plumes an economical and enjoyable place to stay.
