How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The advertised gym is at a separate location up the street. Whilst it is a gym it is very male focussed, almost like a boxing gym and I wouldn't have felt comfortable using it as a lone mature frmale. Not enough pots and pans in the kitchen. The shower was very dark. There were two incidents whilst I was there. One was very serious, there was lots of shouting and a significant amount of glass was broken. This was attended by numerous police and an ambulance. The second was a party on the same floor as mre. It was very loud with people coming and going all night. Management advised I should have contacted security but I can't believe they did not know as people were in and out of the lifts making a really loud noise. None of this is management's fault and things did calm down the next night thank goodness. All in all overpriced for what you get.
Really comfortable large, light room with good amenities. The shower was hot and the pressure was good. Tea and coffee provided. Good proximity to shops. Friendly, helpful staff...

Arrived on a Sunday night 8.30 was told Brisbane closes early and there would be maybe a pub open but not sure whether we would get food.calling in UberEATS was the only alternative.iIn light of day we found a 7/11 and an Indian restaurant open til10.30 on a Sunday night just a very short walk away.
Welcoming foyer entrance and a wonderful perfume to greet us.cafe was welcoming the next morning.

This is my third time at this location it is perfect for a weekend in Brisbane located near enough to frequent the CBD and the valley for an evening out and about

The kitchen appliances weren't great. The pan was scratched and there wasn't an oven. The bathroom is also pretty small and you have to step around the door to get to the toilet. Cleaning staff didn't replace my sheets, just made the bed every week and forgot to take out my trash the first week.
The location was great. 5 in walk to city centre or Central Station. Room and balcony were large.

The restaurant attached to the hotel wasn’t licenced so we were unable to have a drink with meals ordered but this was a minor inconvenience.
Being a studio apt it had a comfortable sitting area to relax at the end of the day not just a hard chair or the bed. The hotel was very central and close to the river as well.

The curtains were broken and hanging off the rail so they could do with fixing and it was the same in our friend’s room and no storage in the room for clothes. This could easily be fixed with those portable clothes hangers as the rooms are quite spacious, instead we had to use the airer and ironing board to hang our clothes.
Rooms were quite spacious and only a 10 minute walk to Queen Street Mall

Lift was noisy.

1. Had to walk a way to find somewhere to eat for dinner as not familiar with the area. 2. For the amount of rooms, the lift was extremely small. A number of times we had to wait for lift to return as full.
The beds were very comfortable, the room tidy. The location was great for what we needed.

Our sliding doors to balcony had only a door safety chain as the lock was broken
