Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe room had hairs in the bathroom on the ledge near the clean face washers. The carpet was dirty and could have been vacuumed better.
It was well furnished and the bed was comfortable. Only a short walk to the station and ubers were able to pick up easily.

AustraliaThe bathroom fan didn’t seem to work. There weren’t enough towels or toilet paper, and the usual luggage storage wasn’t very good so we had to live out of the suitcase. The sauna took forever to heat up.
Location was great. Short walk to station and easy Uber pickups. Beds were ultra comfy. The cafe downstairs was good value.

SwitzerlandThe only minor downside is that the shower easily floods into the rest of the bathroom and leaves the bathroom floor wet.
Staff is incredibly kind and helpful. The rooms are great and the beds are comfortable. The location is so convenient, near North Sydney Station and a short drive into the CBD across Sydney Harbour bridge. There are restaurants and shops all around. Can highly recommend the Quest at North Sydney!

AustraliaOnly a coffee bag in a plunger. Pod machine would be better. Shower glass door did not close completely leaving a gap and water escaping on the tiles outside.
Front desk staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. Just wonderful people. Location was only a 5 min walk from train station and a 2 minute walk from a Woolworths Metro. Bed was very comfy. Room was extremely quite - no noise from anywhere. Air-conditioning got the room cold quickly.

We stay here for the Sydney Runnning Festival which starts nearby. By the look of the 'do not disturb' signs, many runners did. It was very quiet, the room comfortable, the bathroom roomy enough and the shower large. Bus stop outside the door. Reception staff excellent, always greeting guests.

The shower leaked water all over the floor, you couldn’t put the mat down as the shower door would push it away so that was a bit of a flaw. Maybe a small niche point but I feel as though a hotel of this high standard should be offering something better than cheap brand instant coffee sachets..
The reception team were incredibly lovely and offered us a late checkout! The hotel itself was very clean in all common areas and beautifully decorated. Bed was large and comfy! Having a cafe down stairs was a great bonus. Perfect location for us before the Sydney Marathon. Would definitely stay again !
