Our adjoining door to the next room did not lock on our side. We contacted staff twice about this and were promised someone would come and fix it. We rang twice. They agreed someone was coming. No one came. As two young females staying in a motel out of town together we did not feel safe. Also for the cost of the room, I would have expected better facilities, i.e. a teaspoon provided and a door that locks.

It was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Not much soundproofing between the rooms. I was woken at 5.30 am by the sounds of people getting up and moving around in the next room. Heavier sleepers probably wouldn't notice though..

Check is all electronic and I could not see any contact number if I had any difficulties checking in which I initially did have. I was able to resolve the issue but not after some stress.

Light coming in from window on the side and other guests had a party that went all night hard to sleep through noise. Could have gone inside by midnight but they did apologize in the morning to us which was nice of them.

When the light and tv needed to be changed with batteries and light bulb it was done straight away. Very friendly staff.

Secure lock between adjoining rooms and sound proofing were the only things letting the room down. Could hear next doors whole phone conversation but were all local hivis workers so quiet by 9pm.

Clean, friendly guy who helped me fix my booking at no extra charge and self check in means no rush to get there! Maybe a little overpriced on booking.com but still the cheapest in the area. Total block out blinds remote controlled!

Check-in was pretty confusing. I went to the place I booked (Rest Motel) and was meant to sign in via a 24hr kiosk, it wasn't working properly so rang the number and had to go back and forth only to find out they had moved me to the neighbouring property - William McIntosh Motor Lodge (which was a bit nicer), just was very confusing process and could've been resolved by simply emailing us prior.

We actually stayed next door at William McIntosh Motor Lodge. Room was good size & had been revamped. It had kitchenette so we could make breakfast etc. Place was pretty quiet. The highlander restaurant on-site was a nice meal & cocktails were strong.

The location, the condition of the motel, the self serve check in, the facilities. The electric kettle didn't work however a staff member dropped off a new one quite promptly. The main PowerPoint in the kitchen area didn't work, the toilet was dirty, the room smelt smokey and the room wasn't sound proof so we could hear everything the neighbours were saying and could hear them snoring. The self service check-in was unclear and I ended up paying twice accidentally. Still waiting to get the money back though I have been assured I will be refunded. A very unpleasant stay and I wouldn't recommend it.

Had stayed at this property before and clients need to be aware that it is self check in with NO reception staff, everything is done remotely which is usually fine unless something goes wrong, like issues with noisy ppl whilst you’re trying to sleep (for example) Overall a positive experience and I would probably stay there again.

we were a couple in A middle room in the block of 10. On either side of us were a group of tradies/workers who all knew each other and ran up and down, calling each other, playing music until midnight then got up very loudly to depart at 6.00am. so restful it wasn’t. why not put us in the end room.

thought it might be restful even though it was at cheaper end for motel accommodation
