Overly busy. Bar area near reception taken over by big groups which should be accommodated elsewhere. Front bar also overly busy, no place for hotel guests to sit down and enjoy a drink before dinner. Impossible on all three nights.

Rooms and pool area. Spacious rooms, very clean. Bathrooms older but ok. Pool area can get very busy but a great spot to relax.

This is a truly beautiful hotel and the only thing that can spoil it is other guests. A number of large family groups with no regard for others around them occasionally dominated the pool area or had unsupervised children running around at breakfast. If you can block out entitled and selfish people then you'll have a gorgeous time.

The location on Hasting Street is excellent - right in the middle of all the action without being overly loud. The facilities are wonderful - beautiful common spaces, fantastic pool with plenty of lounges and choice. Pool bar is a real holiday indulgence. And the staff are lovely from the front door team to the cleaning staff. Special note: the hotel offers a $50 credit towards your bill (not including room rate) if you forego cleaning services (some conditions apply). This is a fantastic initiative - it monetises environmental awareness and I commend the hotel for offering this.

Neglect to upkeep of rooms.

The rooms are quite dated and grubby. The property overall could do with a big renovation. We stayed in a poolside villa which was easy access to the pool and the main entrance leads down a set of a stairs directly to Hastings St. This is overgrown with weeds and litter unfortunately. Overall we had a lovely stay considering the bad weather but on the sunny days the pool is great. We will stay again but when room rates become more reasonable again.

1.no wifi in the room 2. a charge of $150..00 to use a day bed i think my wife saw one person use the bed in the 3 days we were there the rest of the quest we all had a laugh but all disapointed that all these beds were not used
