Staff was a little abrupt on check-in and also they weren't clear as to what they needed from us. Payment for the room wasn't discussed and no invoice and receipt (work travel) was provided.

Location was perfect, central to just about everything.

I was at the Sonbern Lodge for two nights. I did not eat in the dining room. The location was ideal for my needs. I was visiting friends in Wallaroo.

Stayed for work . Arrived late . Staff was good . Helpful enough. Was a pleasant short stay . I was recommended the waroona hotel for a feed by the staff and the chicken parmi did not disappoint!

Looking a bit tired, but that's probably the charm of the place. Carpets are warm, but I think I would prefer floorboards. I know there's no dust coming up from there and it's easier to see spills and dirty patches.

The stairs are a little steep, but I'm not at that age yet that I had trouble. I did like the balcony, very nice options for groups of people. It's a very tidy and safe location, I would be happy to stay here each time I come to Wallaroo. Nice and central location

I loved it. It's old and they've retained that old look in a good way. We don't always need everything looking the same. It's like stepping back in time, but the good thing is you don't have to walk down a long passage to get to the shared bathroom. My room had a great ensuite bathroom. Excellent shower with great pressure. Fresh milk in a cute bottle for my coffee in morning. I'd stay again and probably will as I do the Wallaroo Markets once a month.

My husband and I needed a break more than we thought we did! It was lovely and comfortable at the Lodge. We walked around Wallaroo alot, visited the Copper Coastal towns and relaxed back at the Lodge. It was a lovely restful long weekend.

Unfortunately the water supply to the shower was intermittently hot or cold, no amount of adjusting or patience solved this issue. Disappointed we could not have a good shower. Other than that issue the property was excellent. With the water issue solved, I would definitely stay at the property again.

We totally enjoyed the central location, we could walk to many, shops, eateries, pubs and the sea! The bed was totally comfortable, the most important factor.

The ensuite could do with a better exhaust fan as there are no windows and there was lots of condensation. Likely to reduce the life of the grout etc

As the couch was a fold-out it was very soft and low to the ground, making it very difficult for us to get up from as we both have knee troubles. Not the fault of the Lodge - but it was quite a tricky process. It was also annoying to have to plug in all of the bedside lights and electric blankets before we could use them, and it would have been better if these were in place before our arrival.

The facilities were exactly what we had booked, and would be perfect for a small family. Great big, clean bathroom. Almost everything you could need in the kitchen. Linen was fresh and clean.
