How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Our room had no natural light which we found a little depressing after a few days. It was lucky that we only spent night time there. Maybe this should have been mentioned when we booked.
The location was fantastic. It had everything we needed.

That the up stairs bedroom got very hot at night and we visited in autumn summer would be unbearable .

We spent 3 nights mid week, with the rooftop bar directly outside the only windows in the apartment I would want to stay there over a weekend

We couldn’t get parking on-site and we had my 86 yr old mother and the 4 car spots weren’t all taken over the time we stayed.

I had booked a 2br apartment and from the photos of this apartment it showed views of the city. I thought id look out and see the boats and city from the apartment balcony. It said Sullivans apartments are different locations but i thought if im selecting an apartment it will show the correct view in the photos. I only had view of the alleyway behind the restaurants and a small view of the top of mt wellington. Also they need to update tv to a smart tv. Being apartment in the city most people would like to watch some netflix etc.. they had a dvd player but i dont think people would pack dvds these days. For the price paid ($400/ night) I think the room needs to feel like im staying in Tassie with some photographic artwork / decorate rooms bit more.
Its in a good location can walk to Salamanca markets and Mona ferries etc.. The king size beds were comfy and it was quiet. I didnt hear noise from nearby restaurants etc.. The kitchen had everything i needed.

Felt there could have been more toilet paper left and more milk and coffee pods. The iron was damaged at the tip and when I ironed my dress it caught on and pulled at threads in it. I did let the staff know this.

Location is excellent that easy access to the market, restaurants & harbour. The 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment is quite spacious and beds are comfortable. We enjoyed our 3 nights stay.

Bed mattress probably needs upgrading. The metal poles (holding the roof up) and the double glazing are a little hard to see if (like me), you’re a male who doesn’t watch where he’s going!! Perhaps some reflective stickers or something similar to catch your eye.
Great location. Well appointed apartment with good kitchen and supplies. Nice large bathroom and comfortable lounge area

It was an awesome 70's style house right on the foreshore of Hobart with a brilliant view of the harbour from all three levels. House was warm and comfortable within a 5-10 minute walk of some good restaurants/cafes and the wharf area.

The location was great, only a short walk to the harbour and restaurants. The bed and pillows were comfortable; we thought it may have been noisy being so close to hotels and night life but were pleasantly surprised!

these are well run apartments close to Constitution Dock and all the facilities around the harbour, including Salamanca Market. rooms were well fitted out, with good kitchen and appliances. comfy beds - happy to stay here again on our next trip to Hobart.
