Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThey've over complicated check-in so that takes a while even if you have done their online check in process. Got an email asking me to check-out online too, which I didnt need to do, it was a quick 'here's the keys, cheers' at reception. Price - fully took advantage of people needing last minute accommodation, and while T swift was in town.
Comfortable bed, good shower. Plenty of tea, coffee, and milk provided which was great! Communal workspace on our floor was nice too.

The accommodation is clean and tidy, hygiene is cleaned even and you can use the jacks in the cupboards to charge your devices. The air conditioning is stable but can be a little chilly for the lower bunks. The laundry room is great.

AustraliaThe room itself was fairly clean, the floor definitely could have have used another vacuum but it was fine. But the bathroom was not clean. The shower was grotty with product residue and the floor had other people's hair left on it.
Amazing location. 2 minutes walk from Central Station and the light rail right out the front. Staff were friendly and helpful. I took my 13 year old daughter so we had a private room with ensuite. The bed was comfy, and the little tea station was a nice bonus. The teenager appreciated that the tv had Netflix and YouTube!

Location was premium, right across Central Station and tram stop. Facilities were clean, kitchen was abundant, water was free, wifi was fast. Double room was fairly spacious, mattress and pillows were soft. Availability of luggage storage before and after check-out was convenient.

AustraliaThe rooms could have been cleaner. There was stains on some of the sheets for the bunk beds, those went straight back downstairs. A bit of noise from roadworks late in the evening but didn’t stop us sleeping. Unfortunately the rooftop and pool area had been closed for refurbishment the day we arrived. We hasn’t been advised this was happening and it was a huge disappointment as it was definitely a reason I booked.
Great location with a light rail stop and train station right outside. We had adjoining queen room and a 4 bunk room which was perfect for our family. Made it a cost effective way of staying in the city. Big rooms and loved the large lockers. The woman at the front desk was lovely.

Canadabathrooms were a little rundown but still clean and decent; one stall had no toilet paper when i went late at night, and still had none in the morning when i checked out (not super early); not sure how often they are checked for things like that, i did let the front desk know
