    Bathroom was an awkward layout.

Good sized rooms. Big bed. Location is good if you want to be close to restaurants and bars. Pub downstairs is awesome.

Live music a little loud but did not go late into the night.

Clean and comfortable. Excellent pub grub. Incredibly convenient to access theatre and civic hall and waterfront. Lift to accommodation floor a bonus in an old pub.

Just a nitpick - no slippers or toiletries like toothbrushes.

Very comfy, cosy, and simple. Quite homely which I prefer over lavish.

The movie channels didn't work and the other channels only worked intermittently. The bar downstairs was deafening. It's my fault because I took someone else's recommendation without finding out that the hotel was above a bar.

The room was clean and had facilities for tea and coffee and a fridge. The restaurant food was delicious and the staff were great.

We were worried it might be noisy above the pub but it was fine as we went to a show then had a drink afterwards and all was quiet by about 11pm.

Great location above the Clarendon Hotel tavern for dinner and drinks. Close to the civic theatre for a show too. Parking at first parking was easy, cheap and close by no hassle at all.

We were over looking the rear of the hotel I did not realise that it was a pub with loud music which did play until late in the evening. I am glad I was not there over the weekend as apparently its worse.

The room was clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable. There is no on site parking but the staff told us were there was secure parking which was reasonable.

The bed was uncomfortable. The receptionist couldn't help us much regarding the directions to the motel and the GPS wasn't much better.

We didn't hear traffic noise from the street. The pillows were comfortable.

It was fit for our purpose.

The room was what we needed, clean, comfortable bed, good bathroom. We were only there for the night and the venue we went to was a 5 minute walk and the group came back to eat at the Clarendon, so going up to sleep was easy.

It was raining heavily for the two days we were there and there was a lot of water leaking into the entrance of the hotel. Could be a hazard.

Very close to the light rail and the Newcastle museum. Staff at reception and the bistro were excellent and welcoming. Facilities were good eg provision of a lift even through the hotel is old.
