Nothing. We loved it so much that we have booked to come again in a few months time! The location is brilliant! Only bad thing we experienced on this trip was the rainy and damp weather which is no fault of the hotels!

We booked this accommodation 30 minutes before arriving due to our other hotel cancelling on us when we got there with no prior-communication. We are so glad that they did because we LOVED our stay at The Island and have booked again to come for 2 nights in May. The location is perfect, staff were friendly, hotel decor was very clean, modern and fancy. The bar and diner was wonderful and the food was lovely. We paid $100 for 2 alcoholic beverages, 2 starters, 2 MASSIVE mains and 2 kids meals. Good value for money. Staff were willing to go above and beyond to accommodate our two small children who struggled to sit still at the dinner table. The pool area was lovely. Bedroom and ensuite bathroom were beautiful and very clean.

No toothbrush, no toothpaste Mini fridge wasn’t cool I noticed a few ants scattered on on the desk under Television. Although they were not swarming, there presence was noticeable and concerning.

The room was very spacious and clean. Nicely decorated. Excellent location. We were on the third floor and it was super quiet, not a sound from downstairs where it was buzzing with people and music.

Everything was close and easy to get to, parking on the property was really handy not to have to find a place to park. Lots of bars and restaurants made it easy it was a very comfortable place to be and could get everything in house

Every staff member that we interacted with was lovely. We did however witness one of the male staff undermining one of the managers at the rooftop bar and it was quite hard not to hear it and not to feel sorry for her. The manager walked away very upset while the staff member continued to bash her behind her back. Didn’t think this was the sort of culture that the hotel is providing for its staff.

Greeted by all staff with friendly smiles and they were all very helpful. Everything about the hotel was clean and a great holiday vibe. Our room was clean, great set up and bathroom clean and spacious for a hotel. Great value for money.

Breakfast was too good and I gained 2 kg in a week.

Perfect location, hotel has three bars, gaming, pool tables, and a massive pool. Snacks in the room were complimentary and the shampoo/condt was all Kevin Murphy. Probably the best hotel I’ve stayed at, just had a nice vibe.

Drainage in shower room is not working well. Water doesn’t flow to the drain but accumulates on floor that nearly flows out of the shower area. Told this to staff upon checkout, who promised to have someone check it and waived out fee for parking. Quilt is super thick and heavy. And the quilt cover is not sealed. Everyday we tried so hard to figure out which the actual quilt is and worked up in a mess of linen ball.

Next to tram location, one stop next to Surfers Paradise. It’s opposite to shopping centre, very convenient. Room is large with kitchen facilities (except stove). Bit noisy as we are 4th floor which is just above the bar. But it’s ok as bar is almost cleared before midnight. They have car park provided on request based on supply. Nice that you can drive in and out multiple times without additional charge.

The rooftop bar can be very loud at night, we can still hear it clearly even with the window/ door shut.

Bit noisy on the weekend but that didn't really bother me. Would be nice if they have an iron in the room.

The location was perfect, close to the beach, tram and restaurants. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Enjoyed my time at The Island.
