The confusing layout of the complex and no lifts to the rooms

The rooms are very basic, with no extra touches. There’s also no room service or restaurant attached to the hotel.

There are 2 Mantra in town. The car GPS does not recognise the address of the Observatory. We drove around to the other Mantra by error… It looks like we were not the first ones to arrive there by mistake… Beds are not very comfortable with fans rather than A/C in the bedrooms.

Friendly staff. Great indoor swimming pool. Perfect for a stormy rainy day on the coast. We stayed for one night only in a 2 bedrooms apartment very clean with brand new carpets it looked like. Nice Italian restaurant nearby.

While the apartments are a good size they are old and in need of an update. Carpets and lounges are worn. My sister in law was staying in a 2 bedroom apartment and there was only a 2 seater lounge and outdoor setting for 2 people.

The location and view are amazing - right across the road from the beach.

The wifi connection was fairly unstable & this was disappointing as we needed a good internet connection.

It was so noisy at night (hoons going up and down the street). Had the doors closed. Could not sleep till early hours of the morning. Beds and Pillows were too soft for us. The lounge chairs need cleaning as they smelled awful. Some soft chairs would be nice out on the verandah as the other chairs were uncomfortable (too hard).

The room was nice and clean. Bathroom cleaned well.

Being on level one was supposed to be ocean view but only glimpses cos it is more level with the road which also makes it a little noisy. Also the blinds need replacing. Quite worn on the edges.

We like being close to town. The pool and spa were nice to relax in as the weather was not the best. Good carpark. Very clean.

Noisey kids in pool area, kitchen in apartment was small and lacked a pan and salad bowls.

Location, room size and facilities. Pool, sauna and spa. Walking distance to beach, town and restaurants.

Nothing wrong really. Felt a touch expensive mid week at this time of year. Just over the max of what i can spend on travel accom which is not an issue but would make me consider a slight cheaper spot in the future if available.

I should have requested a room on a higher floor, as the view would have been a lot better, also we were above the coffee shop and on Sunday morning we could clearly hear the coffee tables being dragged outside at around 7.30 AM

The Pool and Spa was great.

There were renovations going on which meant only lower 4 floors were available. Bathroom was tight and awkward for someone using a walker or wheelchair ( shower door opened into entry door which opened into toilet). Bed was a little large for the room ( difficult for a walker to get through) and no microwave available due to tiny shelf.

It was conveniently located, with a non aligned restaurant on ground floor.

As I am travelling for work, I require a tax invoice. I was not given one, still waiting 10 days later. It is impossible to get hold of the site with no contact details on the website. And no one at the ACCCOR group is interested in assisting or returning any calls.
