The entry foyer is small (and was crowded due to a large group of guests) and the facilities there are basic but this was not a problem for me.

Comfortable room, convenient to the CBD (2 stops on the nearby Light Rail). All the staff were friendly and helpful, and the Howling Moon Bar with its great view was perfect for a get-together.

Bed was a little bit too hard for my liking and this hotel also uses a traditional key rather than the usual swipe card but this would not stop me from booking again as this hotel was very good value.

Room was clean and very big. Bathroom very spacious. Sheets and carpet were very clean. Loved that this hotel had their own rooftop bar and pool. Hotel was very well-located, only a short walk to Lonsdale street which has loads of cafes, shops and restaurants. Free parking on site was a plus! We will definitely stay again when we visit Canberra.

A big rather bland hotel but what do you expect for the price.

Convenient and very well priced hotel. Paid $10 extra for a standard room but with a small balcony. Definitely worth it to get the fresh air into the room. Reception staff fabulous and allowed us to park our E-bikes inside rather than leaving them locked outside (where we have previously had them vandalised).

The sauna needs to be more hot and high temperature. It took ages to get the sauna to a high temperature which is not high enough.

The Rex is close to public transport, the free parking is an incentive to book the Rex.

Pool facilities were in a different building not clear to get too, and an event was on meaning the rooftop bar was shut to the public which was a shame!

Good location for visiting friends, great value for money and the room was comfy clean and perfect for a one night stay. Staff were friendly and nice.

Very comfortable base for our short 2 night stay in Canberra. Bed was large and comfortable. Room was good size and clean. Would recommend. Can also walk to Canberra Central if you don't mind ~20 min walk

Just as well I didn’t have clothes to hang up because the railing was ridiculously high in the wardrobe. Also there was no power outlet in the tea making area.

Could have done with a wider choice of tv (Sky sports/Movies), a stocked mini bar and better quality Ironing Board.

No real benchtop for the kettle to boil water other than the writing desk. Not a big issue.

I was charged twice, one was a cheaper fee and one was the dearer fee. Booking .com had cancelled the booking, but when I got charged twice I naturally complained. It took about 1 week to get back to me but when I said refund me the smaller amount $166 as opposed to the $279, they refunded the smaller amount straight away. But it should have been the larger amount but definitely unnecessarily charged me the wrong amount as I had cancelled it
