Reception was closed by 17.00 and telephone contact number displayed on the door was incorrect. Final payment was taken before we had access and had checked in although I had been told we would be paying on arrival so wanted to use up our Australian cash.

Quiet hotel in a convenient location

TV reception was quite patchy. The receptionist did provide me with a new remote and tightened the aerial cable. While this improved the reception it still dropped out at various stages.

The proximity to South Yarra and CBD; large clean room and ensuite; beautiful breakfast and common lounge rooms; very reasonable tariff including a continental breakfast; exceptionally friendly & helpful reception staff; 3 minute walk to Hawksburn station; quietness of the hotel despite being on a main road; overall great value for money.

The garden areas could use a little tlc.

The location is excellent. Within walking distance of restaurants and shops. The rooms are spacious, and the breakfast hall is well laid out.

A deep clean of the facility will further enhance the manor boutique experience.

Ideally located to access CBD and other facilities. Friendly & accommodating staff (owner), cosy and appropriately furnished place to stay. Value for money :)

Pillows could have been better as they were not super supportive at all. It was quite uncomfortable. 1 night might be ok, but anything longer than that, it gave us some sore necks the following days.

Great location close to cafes, supermarket, shops etc. A short 15min walk to Chapel Street and other surrounding areas/precincts that are nice to visit in the area. Getting to the Melbourne CBD would also only be a 15min taxi ride.

The showers are very old new shower recess would be nice. Tv very small and maybe foxtel would be good. More information about restaurants around also I got locked out of building after moving car did not have phone on me had to wait for someone to open door it would be better if staff available at evenings on site. Could be a great place to have dinner as well

Location fantastic close to city. Room was a great size Beds very comfortable breakfast terrific lovely ambiance with beautiful antiques. Very clean. Staff friendly and helpful will definitely come back great to have such a good carpark

Even though the free parking was good, patrons should try to park within their parking bay instead of parking over 2 spaces. The TV remote was not working well. It was close to the train line so we could hear it at times.

We enjoyed the character and charm of the building. Having the breakfast as a part of the accommodation was a bonus. Free parking was also good.

Perhaps a bit of a spring clean to get dust out from tricky areas in the room. But room was clean. Air con a bit dated. If you are sensitive to noise (hotel adjacent to a train line) suggest ear plugs. Light from hallway did come into the room ( we were in an upstairs room near fire exit).

The location was excellent for catching train - a minute away to get to AO. Good value for money. Room & bathroom were a good size. Toorak Hotel a short walk away has restaurant quality meals in their front bar. Keep in mind Toorak Manor is an older style hotel so some facilities - fixtures a bit dated ( such as air con - could not see mode options to adjust on warm evenings) Great to find a place so close to the city that includes free parking.

House is much as you should expect for an historical residence in this area - a little worn and dated.

I stayed in Room 2. It was airconditioned and very pleasant. The hotel was built in 1880 and has superb 4-metre-high ceilings. There is period furniture and chandeliers in each of the 19 rooms. Very close to the train station and trams on Malven Road.

Had to park on a side street as a vehicle had taken up two parking spots and parking is very limited.
