Really central location, lots of lovely staff and facilities were all you could want. Bathrooms we're really close by. Pool was lovely when it was hot. Just a great place to stay.

It didn’t feel all that safe to walk to and from town at night especially as a lone female. You have to bypass/ walk around a shopping centre. Also there are limited toilets/ bathrooms for the number of people - I ended up waiting a few times to use the bathroom

The staff were very welcoming and even remembered me on my return from a tour 2 days later! The outside areas are very cute, unlike any hostel I’ve been too. Plenty of space to hang up washing. Rooms were clean and tidy. It has a very chilled vibe and not party like.

Everything! I booked a private room just for myself and it was big, comfy, impecable cleaning and nice decorated. Fan, tv and fridge. Very beautiful common outside areas. I loved the decoration the pool the fountains and the murals and all the art around

There was a bit of confusion when speaking with the staff and some strict rules around holding bags at the property but it didn't cause any big issues for me.

Nice property that feels like a resort for backpackers. Lovely pool and nice places to relax all over the property. Plenty of kitchens to choose from so it is never busy. Most people go on tours during the day so the property is pretty quiet during the day time.

Great hostel! So cozy and such a great atmosphere. The decoration is great and the outside shower is lovely! Very kind host and everything was super clean! So many kitchens, showers and toilets, you never have to wait :) free to use sunscreen, kitchens stuff and anti insect spray was amazing!

I only stayed for 2 nights but I had a very comfortable stay! I did unfortunately loose my key, which was completely my fault, but it was $15 to replace it, which I thought was quite pricey! But they do give you warning all over the property of the cost of lost towels and keys. $15 charge per towel or key lost. If this could be reduced a little bit that would make it a bit less painful, but I was warned! 🤣 So don’t make the same mistake I did, and keep your key safe when you go out! :)

Really cool hostel. The decor is really fun, the outdoor space is really big, loads of areas to sit and relax. Plenty of bathrooms and kitchens. The pool is lovely too. The star of the show is the outdoor shower which I absolutely loved using, it feels like you’re in the middle of a little jungle, such a refreshing and soulful experience. The staff were very friendly and gave me loads of tips on what to do in Cairns while I was staying. Not a loud hostel either, people were chatting and socialising but definitely not a party hostel vibe, lots of people sitting out working on laptops during the day. So a nice relaxed, but friendly social vibe! Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Beds could do with some curtains for a little extra privacy but other than that, can’t really complain about anything and definitely not a deal breaker.

Really comfortable beds, great facilities including laundry and fully equipped kitchens and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The whole property was also spotlessly clean for the duration of my stay.

Aircon to pay separately. Owner can be a bit confusing about leaving the place after 14:00, but maybe she should make it more clear that you can leave your bag in the storage.

The rooms are tiny! There is no space to put your luggage. Only very small boards at the walls next to the beds to put some stuff but definitely not enough place! No lockers, just very tiny safes. No curtains or lights at your bed. Could easily be improved with more boards / hangers and maybe curtains and lights! Same goes for bathrooms.. absolutely nowhere to put your stuff.. why not just install 2-3 boards in every bathroom? Takes no time at all, doesn't cost much, but improves the bathrooms a lot! Aircon at extra costs.. is mentioned in every second review of the place. It's not about the cost, it's just inconvenient. In the heat and humidity of Cairns there's really no other option than using aircon if you're staying in a 3square metre room with three other people.. Just charge 1$ more per person/night and install a timer (without the payment system), so that aircons turn off after the set time.. same effect on saving energy as with the coins.. Housekeeping starts at 9am.. so don't expect to be able to sleep in very long. Maybe only start at that time with rooms where nobody is in bed anymore.. Not enough toilets close to your room.. was okay, but often a bit of a wait or checking 2-3 bathrooms.

Great communal areas!! Definitely the most beautiful ones I've seen in any hostel in Australia, very inviting to hang out at the pool or kitchen area, easy to get in contact with other travellers or just chill in one of the hammocks. Free sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Directly next to the Greyhound bus station, only short walk to the Esplanade. You can easily do everything by walking. Great cafe very close by (and co coffee). Easy after-hours check in. Very clean (just the bathroom floor is always wet). Free towels and pool towels. Overall great relaxed atmosphere - it's not a party hostel but still a social hostel, there are not so many hostels which manage to achieve the one without the other. And if you want to party there is still enough opportunity in Cairns. I would certainly stay here again, but there's definitely some room for improvement:

The only thing I’d say is to have another toilet by the upstairs rooms (if i’m being picky) and also to not have to pay for aircon as I think it should be included really, but other than that I loved everything

It was very chilled out vibe which was perfect for the end of traveling the east coast. My private room had a fridge which was so helpful and a TV which was nice. Comfy bed too. Staff were lovely, always friendly and around keeping the hostel clean. Also a really pretty hostel with all the lights and lanterns etc, felt very comfortable there

Staff was very helpful with recommending snorkeling tours and got me into an scuba diving session that was actually fully booked. They were also understanding when I checked out late because I got stuck in a phone call.

The hostel is quite busy so have to be patient with using the toilets / showers but there are quite a few so you don’t have to wait for long

The hostel has such a wonderful atmosphere, a home away from home! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the chill out areas are perfect after long days exploring the reef/rainforest! The outdoor shower, that felt like you were in the jungle, was a particular highlight!
