Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThere was a high pitch whining somewhere in the building, probably from an aircon fan that needs replacement. It was on the edge of hearing, but considering a great sound isolation of the room, to sensitive people it could be the issue. I did mention it to the receptionist, but I do not consider it as a problem. Not worth a negative review :-) I can't remember if I've seen a sign on the Kings Park Road indicating where the Tribe's street is. Not everyone uses GPS, but obviously, it is not worth any negative review comments either :-). If you are using your car, book in for the parking in Tribe's secure parking area.
Temperature of the room was already set to very good 20C, but I increased it to 22 as we do not use aircon often at home. Staff very friendly. Atmosphere at the reception/lounge area feeling good and friendly.

AustraliaThe bed, although comfortable, was a bit too high and required a little jump for me to get onto even though I am close to average height for a woman at 168 cm. I was disappointed that the towels were changed after only one day which I thought wasteful given I had a booking for only 2 nights. This contradicted the environmental ethos that was espoused.
I loved the architecture which was visually appealing and made very clever use of space so that it felt spacious and luxurious without unnecessary opulence. Furnishing details in the lobby added a sense of fun and provided an atmosphere in which guests were inclined to mingle. The architectural library available for all to read was a bonus for a solo traveller. The bed was exceptionally comfortable to sleep in. Friendly, helpful and informative staff were the best part of this experience.

AustraliaThe no cash policy (x100). Very inconvenient and a nuisance for old fashioned types like family member who was staying at tribe Perth. He also couldn't adjust the air con to heat. So room was too cold all the time he said. Fortunately the v helpful and friendly staff gave a blanket and heater
Liked the atmosphere, the helpfulness of the staff. The design and ambiance.

GermanyRooms could be a bit more spacious, and apart from Kings Park there is not much directly in the area of the hotel, which is a bit of a shame.
Clean and nice rooms, very friendly staff, and a beautifully decorated lounge area on the ground floor. The kitchen area has (sparkling) water taps that can be used anytime which we really liked. For the price a very good option in Perth.

AustraliaBooking.com issue (hacked) and the confusion this caused. I think if we had been told immediately of the issue, that would have been okay. Instead, I had to make contact with Tribe.
Central location made it easy to get to our concert (in Kings Park).

Australia• Small rooms • Blocked bathroom sink, which they didn’t fix for 5 days • Hard to regulate room temperature • Very limited food options, but what they had was good
Tribe is well located in West Perth right outside Kings Park (perfect for walks). The hotel has a modern appeal. The room was the smallest I’ve ever stayed yet, but relatively well-designed. Staff are friendly and polite, but some struggle with their comprehension of English, which can get a bit frustrating.

AustraliaNot much I didn't like but if i had to pick something i was surprised there was no bacon available at the restaurant. My only other suggestion is that with rental bikes they would benefit by having some form of phone holder so we could safety use the phone for navigation.
Room, breakfast and service of staff. Location being only a short walk from kings park (a beautiful place for early morning walk) and 2kms from CBD

New ZealandIt was a pity that our air con unit wasn't working perfectly during our stay, but as mentioned above the staff worked really hard to resolve this issue for us and followed up during our stay once the service team had been through. Maybe more than 2 coffee pods would be nice!
Great team of people at Tribe. Made us very welcome and made sure or stay was as pleasant as possible. Had a city view room (607) and having an entire wall as a window gave an impressive view. Loved the open dining, foyer cafe area and had breakfast there both mornings. Yes the rooms are small, but we were there to discover the city so we were out all day and the size didn't bother us.
