The rooms are very small and having such little space for a family travelling is difficult - the fridge was tiny and only 2 cups, limited everything if you want to get take away and eat in.

Pool area and bar was great- lake - what a lovely spot.

Such a huge walk to anything within the resort :( got lost a few times. Quite exspensive for what it was, for example quality of lounges and modernness.

Mould was everywhere, rooms are filthy and need to be renovated, the price does not reflect the type of accommodation they offer. All of the kids activities were cancelled and the evening movie as a convention was on, restaurant was closed. Very disappointing

We usually love staying here as the pool and lagoon are great for the kids, we had some issues which the staff helped us with in the end

On the first night there we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant (Sola) we originally were going to have the Friday special however we saw a sign saying it was sold out. This was not an issue at first however, when we tried to have dinner again the next night only 45minutes after the restaurant was open they had a sign saying the special was sold out again. We found this disappointing and decided to just order room service. After ordering room service we expected no more than a 30 minute wait for our food however, we waited an hour before we tried to call the restaurant and we were not able to get through. We ended up having to walk all the way to the restaurant as we realised that the kitchen was supposed to close in less than 10 minutes making the extra money we paid for room service pointless. Once we got there we had to wait an extra 10 minutes only to find out that our food had been waiting under a heat lamp. I also would like to mention that on both nights the staff taking orders were not very friendly not only to us but the other customers as well.

The location, room and facilities were really nice to use. We had a lot of fun especially with the kayaks and thought they were really well managed by the staff.

The kitchenette is just a kettle. You can't turn the bathroom light on without turning the wardrobe light on and there is no door between the wardrobe and the bedroom. We came with two kids (7 and 5) and they needed the bathroom light on as there is no window in the bathroom. The beds were so hard and the pillows were massive. The umbrellas by the pool never went up (but that could have had something to do with the wind) however what that meant is that there was no shade by the pool. The kids area was a mess and there were kids playing completely inappropriate games on the playstation (not your fault there were no parents supervision despite your signs) the worker monitoring the kids play area from 5pm sat on her phone and didn't engage anyone. No room service. From the website I was under the impression that there would be different restaurant options but it was one option and it was a small menu. None of these things are terrible but it does mean that if we come again (and my son will definitely want to for the watersports) we will only stay a Max of 2 nights.

The water sports on the lagoon was a huge hit. The buffet breakfast was also awesome The staff were super friendly, nice and helpful. The gardens were beautiful and being able to see kangaroos was so cool.

Would have loved to check in on time but we could use all the facilities to enjoy ourselves while waiting. This made the wait far more comfortable and fun.

The room and all the facilities are great. Loved the kayaking and swimming. Very comfortable for my friend and I to enjoy our time at the Novatel.

Not being able to use cash, Room was outdated, carpet was smelly, air-conditioning was loud, Room service took an hour and half to receive our food.

We are SC locals and have visited a few times as a couple and with our children. What we have noticed over the last couple of years is a gradual decline in the up keep of the resort - it’s looking tired and in disrepair. From cracked tiles patched with black sticky tape to broken steps both tile and timber roped off with tape stating do not enter or planted pots placed over broken steps. It was apparent things were broken but not repaired. The menu has also decreased in size and is now quite basic with limited choice. The staff even commented to another guest how terrible the salads had become. The food was extremely over priced for its quality. It’s a real shame because we love visiting and love the location and activities on offer but don’t think we’ll be back unless the resort receives much needed upkeep and repairs.

Basic things like clothes airers and brooms missing from room. Pool crowded. Laundry services and cost to use the machines too expensive. More umbrellas needed around the pool. Need more movie options in the TV.

The property is tidy and well kept. Loved the free use of water sports, free towels, daily house keeping. The kangaroos, gardens lovely.

The room is looking very tired. Two lights in our room weren’t working. Mattress is very uncomfortable. The kitchenette isn’t very clean.

The Bungalows are amazing, the resort is beautiful with the pool, lagoon and restaurant bar on-site, beautiful nature walks with frogs, Roos etc surrounding you.

Check in was 2.30 but couldn't get into our room until 3.45. Not nearly enough staff to cater for the number of guests.

It’s dated, the pool needed a scrub but wasn’t at a point of not swimming in. The restaurant dinner food could be more diverse like having seafood on the menu especially when you are a coastal resort.

The buffet dinner was the worst buffet I have ever had and it was one of the most expensive. It was basically a baked dinner. Breakfast has more options and comes with juice etc.

We had to be upgraded in rooms and spend more money because the 1st room had mould, bathroom and walk in tea room lights didn't work and balcony was very dirty. The staff compensated with breakfast although the state of the 1st room was very disappointing and also meant we had to wait another 2 hours for our new room as it wasn't ready but still move out of our old room and go put everything back in the car and sit and wait.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.. awesome customer service all round.

the food offer was not great or the service from Sola Restaurant, yes it was busy but it still dragged down the resort as a whole. We went out every time instead of using the restaurant.

The shower curtain was just lying on the floor, the rubbish bin wasn't fully emptied, one of the towels left a white cottony residue on my skin and the TV showed someone else's name. A bit outdated rooms and the info placards were at times so worn that it took us a couple of times to find our room. Otherwise good
