Would have been good if the breakfast supplies had been left in fridge as was indicated. We did bring our breakfast so decided not to go and ask for them. No table just a bench looking at a wall. A view would have been far better.

Bed was ok. Large shower and hot water. Location was ideal as it meant we could leave our car and go for some decent walks around the town.

One staff member was so rude. It was a joke almost like a comedy sketch. We asked her for the breakfast we missed the day before, she replied well I will bring them to you. We said can we have also the 2 we were missing from yesterday (they were a box with a few things in) she replied “ well how many do ya want! I can’t give ya 5 or somethin “ we explained we had paid for them and we’d like them if possible! She was just so rude, attitude and not friendly in the slightest. She worked on the office whilst looking after the gaming room I think. The rest of the staff were 10/10 in bar and restaurant but not sure what was wrong with her. Also we found dirty clothes in the wardrobe which hadn’t been removed from the previous persons stay!

We wanted to change rooms to be closer to our friends, we’re told fully booked, they definitely were not, as those rooms were un used the first night, booked the second, seemed to hard for them, seeing we hadn’t unpacked. Secondly the meal we ordered for 4 people, seemed to get cancelled, after wanting a early dinner , ended being there for 2 hours. Staff were very apologetic. Technical hitch they said.

The breakfast was meagre and no alternative was proposed or suggested, the accommodation was very tired and over -priced. Once the restaurant was closed there was no food available anywhere in the town, except the servo.

The place was beautifully located. The restaurant had some reasonable food. The room was quiet and did not seem to be affected by the noises of the pub.

Continental breakfast was adequate except they provided bread for toasting, but no plates. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom wasn't as clean as it should be. As a red head with a bald husband, the long black hairs in the shower and on the toilet floor were definitely not ours. Only a small amount of toilet paper left on the roll for a freshly cleaned room, with no replacement (had to go and hunt one down). For $185, we expected a bit more for our money.

Central location, food was lovely and staff were very nice. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere.

Smokers area right outside our room creating lack of privacy and unpleasant smell- had to close door and curtains. Lack of parking.

Our room was basic and the decor drab and not what we'd expected from the publicity photos. But it was comfy. Dinner downstairs was hearty but hardly gourmet as suggested.

Location opposite the gardens is excellent and it's a quaint old hotel. The in-room continental breakfast was generous.
