How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

All was fantastic. There were no negatives. Only small negative which was really small was that there was no dishwasher. But it did not faze us.
Great location, good size unit. Has everything you need. Can't fault it. The staff were excellent. They help make my stay even better.

The building is very old but we knew that and it wasn’t a problem for us.
The location was perfect for us as we were able to walk to all the CBD facilities easily. Lots of cafes, the Glasshouse Theatre, waterfront walks, beautiful lookouts etc.

The room probably needs a bit of airing but all in all, it was a good place to stay and rest after a long journey. We travelled from brisbane going to Sydney.
The location was great. Right by the esplanade. Close to shops and restaurants. Off street free parking is also a bonus. Reception’s very helpful and friendly. Amenities for long stay like stove, oven, fridge is provided as well as pots and pans for cooking.

I don’t think there’s anything
From the friendly welcome, to the size and corner location of our rooms brilliant. The beds were comfortable, unit was clean, well set out. We were lucky enough to have views of the river and beach. And there were several trays of ice which on the hot day were greatly appreciated.

the central location, walking distance to the beach, town centre and pubs. The cleanliness was excellent, and the quality of the furnishings was great. Kim and Glenn and staff were helpful and very professional.

However, it's worth noting that the building is older and lacks an elevator—a detail I overlooked during booking. Thankfully, our luggage was not too heavy, so we managed fine without one. Only living room boasted newer furnishings.
The convenient location of this hotel, within walking distance of the beach, is undoubtedly one of its key highlights. Additionally, the rooms are spacious, providing ample space for guests to relax and unwind.

The main thing was just a lack of decent internet connection, as well as a smart TV that would accommodate logging onto Netflix etc...which is usually a given these days, free to air tv would die at around 6pm every night. The building and pool is a little tired looking, but still very clean and well kept.
Fantastic location, very clean and tidy. Friendly and very helpful staff. Kitchen facilities were pretty good. A great family accommodation option!

It was hard to work out the oven without instructions, and it also took us a while to match the switches to the lights. The place is a bit old.
Location is great. The apartment is a bit old, but has all the necessary facilties.

Maybe a set of drawers to unpack into, not a wire basket. And maybe a larger television.
The unit, location and outlook was very good. The manager went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable.

The property was in a great location, easy access to restaurants, shops and the beach. Our hosts were fantastic, and the room was well fitted out and a very good size met all of our requirements.

Generally not much to not like. Was some steps - maybe 10 - from undercover parking to apartment but would not affect minor mobility problems.
Location excellent everything within walking distance. Staff amazing and very helpful. Bed comfy. Kitchen well equipped. Off street parking. Fans in bedrooms. ac in main lounge/kitchen.
