Nothing, really enjoyed being there!

Beautiful home, safe location, great breakfast, very very lovely and helpful hosts, cosy fire pit and night time atmosphere, great cooking space (if I wished to cook), great laundry facilities (if I'd needed to do laundry), clean and cozy room. Had everything I needed for a home away from home.

The overall experience from the way Ian and Helen greet you and they cannot do enough to ensure your stay is the most enjoyable. Everything you need is there and the continental breakfast they provide daily is above and beyond. If I was requiring accommodation in Alice Springs again, I would not look anywhere but Wilmots on Dixon to stay. I don't believe a score of 10/10 is enough. It deserves more.

Buffet style breakfast with everything you can ask for. Free use of a gourmet style kitchen. Espresso Machine. Washing machine. Own fridge. Very friendly and helpful owners. Best place to stay in Alice Springs. A bit outside of the town centre, So you do need transport. Hence it is peaceful and quiet around there. Lovely pool in a small lush garden to enjoy.

Great hosts, very professional, attentive, helpful, prepared a wonderful breakfast. Lots of information about the regional attractions were easily available. And they have kangaroos in their backyard in the evening!

I regretted that we could not stay longer.

Wilmonts on Dixon in my opinion may be the best B&B in the whole world. Its owners, Helen and Ian Wilmont are exceptional hosts. I strongly recommend them and their home. It is a terrific value and Helen is a treasure of knowledge about the Red Center of Australia.

What’s not to like

The accommodation was like home from home . Our host couldn’t do enough for us & laid out a beautiful breakfast every morning.. even drove us to our pick up point for a trip at 6.30 am . Beautiful pool which looked stunning at night time . Would highly recommend.

there wasn’t anything not to like. the property is on the edge of town but the town isn’t huge and I had access to well maintained bike paths

the suite was very well appointed with spa bath. the pool was beautiful as was all of the outdoor spaces. the full size kitchen was a bonus as was the delicious breakfast. really loved having access to a bike

This B&B provides very spacious accommodation - bedroom, living room, bathroom and balcony, with all areas above average size. The hostess, Helen, was very welcoming and flexible. Due to flight times, we arrived 5 hours ahead of our check in time but the accommodation was ready. This allowed us to check in early and arrange sightseeing in the afternoon. The property provided a good base for an organised coach tour to Uluru. We did not have a hire car but this would be an excellent base for car travel around the area , local and beyond, for those who prefer different accommodation to hotel rooms. The breakfast ( included in the price) was self catering and excellent provisions for continental and a cooked breakfast were made available. Self catering facilities are available for lunch and evening meals if required.

There are 3 accommodation options. We stayed in the small one which is tight. When we return, we'll make sure to book one of the others that come with their own living areas.

This is a delightful place to stay. We were looked after our whole stay, driven to pick up a hire car, given ideas on things to do, a fire was set for an evening on the terrace, and there was a fabulous breakfast set up each morning, including cook your own hot options. At the edge of town and with bush land behind the property, there was an abundance of birdlife flying overhead in the early morning as I swam in the pool. A willy wagtail nest over the pool provided endless entertainment as well. It's possible to mingle with the hosts and other guests, but the numerous private decks/terrace areas mean you can keep to yourself if you want. A far nicer place to be than in the centre of town.

Lovely large property with all amenities we required provided. Previous reviews regarding the breakfasts weren't exaggerated... they were lovely. We made good use of the pool and the outdoor areas . All in all a very enjoyable stay.

This is a fantastic place with fantastic hosts. It was especially good for the 4 of us to be in ( 2 adults and 2 grown up sons) as there was space, privacy and comfort for us all but we were together. The breakfast was absolutely extraordinary - and there is even a very clean pool. They are very generous hosts.
