It was absolutely brilliant! About 10 mins out of Alice which was just what we needed as it can be rough in town. Each room was fully self contained with a queen bed, toilet and bathroom. Very quiet location. We had the whole beautiful home to ourselves. Massive kitchen and living areas and each night we sat on the deck around a fire pit and sipped on our wine! Every morning there was a breakfast that befitted guests at Buckingham palace! Helen baked fresh muffins every morning too! Ian and Helen get a 12/10 for hosting such a fabulous place!!!

Gorgeous house, lovely hosts, a very very comfortable stay…they thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible! Would HIGHLY recommend in a heartbeat! Ohhhh…and the breakfast feast waiting for us every morning! The best!!

We accepted the accommodation as it is. We were well catered for and had no complaints. There is nothing about the accommodation that we objected to.

The place was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities supplied were well cared for and suitable.

The breakfast was terrific. On top of you cooking what you would like to eat, the owner's little personal touch, like homemade muffins, was fantastic. The kitchen was free to use, including a washing machine and individual bar fridge access for each room. When I needed a little extra freezer space, the owner accommodated my request without a fuss.

Everything was readily available for a comfortable stay. Hosts were friendly, and there was enough room to have your own space with common areas to allow interactions with other guests. Breakfast was a real treat!

You ideally need your own car or will have to rely on taxis as the property is in a residential area about 4km north of the town centre. They do offer bicycles and Ian kindly gave us a ride to town one day when taxis were scarce.

Room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The private balcony was a nice addition. The pool and outdoor dining options were also great facilities. But the standout was the exeptional breakfast choices, with a wide range of fruit cereal and toast and choice to cook your own eggs with all the trimmings. Ian was a friendly, generous and helpful host. We will definately come back.

we booked the north wing with a private ensuite/ spa and were incredibly comfortable. it was great to have our own little space but access to the rest of the property as needed. all the thoughtful touches were included.

Hospitable and helpful hosts. Delicious breakfasts, with plentiful ingredients, including fruit. cereals, homemade muffins, eggs and bacon. Very comfortable room, one-bedroom plus sitting room and a spa in the bathroom. Highly recommended.

Couldn't fault the place or hosts

What a fantastic abode and hosts were incredible. Everything about Wilmots on Dixon place was an 11/10. It really feels like a resort and a home away from home. Fully appointed house and everything at your fingertips with seperate accommodation upstairs and at ground level outside of the huge multi levelled entertainment areas. I will never book at a hotel when I come into Alice and will opt to stay here every time. I'm pretty sure the towels were from Harrod's of London (yes, we have Harrod's linen and bathroom sets). The hosts were awesome and they couldn't do enough for me during my stay. Didn't get to have breakfast as I left at 0600. I'm sure it would have been awesome 😃
