How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The rooms were basic but that's ok. They had everything you needed. They needed a good clean as there were cobwebs on the windows, dirty marks on the walls, and the front windows were very dirty. The beds were clean and comfy.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and the location stunning

Bed a little hard for me. Table lamp next to the bed would be handy.
I liked the old style room in the main building. It was very bug with lots of character. Yes, the paint was peeling, and there was a hole in the ceiling, but it added to the character. The shared bathroom was modern and clean, and the room also clean. No ghost activity to note.

No flywire screen so fresh air ventilation possible at night. Aircon filters were filthy and I needed to clean them myself to get the unit to function properly. No bench space at all in the room. No shower water recess so bathroom floor get very wet most of the time..

The room I stayed in was not directly in the Inn, but in a separate building at the back. The light switch to the bathroom wasn't working, the mattress was clearly very old because it was saggy in some parts. It was clean, but it definitely needs maintenance. Sound insulation was quite bad as I could hear the convos of the people in the other rooms. In the morning as I tried to leave, I found myself stuck. Neither the key nor the lock on the door was working and I was locked in, so I had to lift & wiggle the glass sliding door while repeatedly trying different angles to get myself out.
The staff were wonderful and the pub/bistro had a great vibe. I had great food and a pint, watched some rugby and relaxed. Staff was friendly and joking around, and overall made my time there great. The view from the deck is kinda nice, and there is a very large kid's play area. (I have no kids, but there were many families with their kids in this fenced-in lovely garden). There are some games like pool, darts, air hockey and some arcade games for the kids. The room had a well working aircon, a minibar, kettle and tea&coffee

Lovely old pub in need of some love- very tired. The one time I wouldn't have minded watching a bit of crap before bed and there was no TV in the room. Also add some more vego options to your food menu please!
Beautiful location, comfy beds. The small, basic room with ensuite was all we needed- great price on booking.com.

Poor internet signal. My phone is on Vodaphone and network for phone and internet was non existent in accommodation and surrounding area which made using Satnav impossible.
The room was very clean and quiet. Good food available in pub. Great location.

The only option with an ensuite was twin beds and the bathroom is pretty old.

Hotel charged my credit card for stay that has already been paid via booking. I was charged twice and still have not received the refund (since 8 September). Hotel and booking are not cooperating in this matter. It’s absolutely not right when hotel takes your card and processing payment without permission. This is a problem when booking charge you and hotel takes your card!!!!! It must be considered by both sides, otherwise there is no photo use booking or select prepaid option. Vodafone was not working there, no mobile, no internet.

One thing that shitl me was 12 dollar beers even at happy hour I wasn't a social member so we couldn't get a cheaper price went 100 meters to the bowling club and was served 6 dollar beers half price not happy

There was no ventilation in the shower.
The Location was good. It was close to the parks and all local amenities. We had no problem looking for food or drink as the inn itself provided it. The bed was comfortable.

No issues at all.
The Wiseman Inn was centrally located in Wiseman's Ferry. The rate was good. The pub restaurant served generous portions of very nice food and the staff were very friendly.
