Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesBreakfast items and location (location not a big issue as cabs are very cheap on bolts app. Maximum 5 manat from one end to the other end of the city,)
Best hotel value for money in Baku. No bad smell which normally you feel in a low-cost hotels. Initially I booked an expensive hotel, but my wife suggested this hotel saying we won't be spending full-time in the hotel rooms as most of our time we will be on sightseeing. So I selected this hotel and with that extra amount saved from expensive hotel cancellation I managed to cover all our other expenses in Baku!!. But this hotel was also very good. Only thing I felt bad was breakfast they need to improve. Receptionist Ali is an ideal hotel receptionist for any hotel and was extremely helpful and supportive. He is the best guy I met in Baku who speaks good English. He detailed us all tourist information and also helped us getting cabs. The night receptionist Rauf was also good but we hadn't much interaction. In short don't spend your money on expensive hotels if you can get rooms in hotels like Premier which covers all your basic needs.

PhilippinesThe AC in the room with balcony room is not enough to make it cool. I had asthma attack during my first night, that i had to sleep on the floor to be under the AC. The next i asked them to move me to different room a smaller one so the room can be cold.
The general manager Mr. Rauf is very nice. He respond to my request promptly.

United Arab EmiratesIt was the worst experience during my 2 weeks stay in Azerbaijan, 1. While booking the apartment for 5 family member, it describe that they have 3 single bed and 1 double bed, however when we checked in, they said they have only 3 single bed and extra mattress can be provided on 10 AZN basis per day, when i showed them the details on the booking portal the manager informed tgat dhe is not aware who aaded this, it wasnt acceptable however we had no other choice. 2. At night AC stopped working at 2 AM, & we had to struggle with remote switche on and switch off several times to get it working, same process happened thrice duringbthe night and second day they changed our room. 3. The most worst part, we went for brakefast and got shocked that bread was full of fungus, it seems it was in their stock for coupls of months and without looking they put for their guest, pictures i have attached, reported to the manager however she asked to share the pictures which i did, however she didnt bother to apologise instead their duty boy came with a tray of fruits.
Washrooms are reasonable. Rooms were clean.

BelgiumDespite the helpfulness of the staff, the cleanliness level could have been improved. Most of the surfaces were dusty or stained and left a general impression of old. There was a permanent smell of food in the building (mostly of fried food). The walls are thin and the visitors staying at the hotel have been extremely noisy, going up and down the stairs and talking loudly to each other at night. My bed was actually formed of two mattresses put on top of each other.
The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, as the other Azeri people I met during my two weeks stay in the country. Always ready to answer questions or literally give a hand when carrying luggage. Both day and night service was available (with the exception of Friday night). Breakfast was served on the last floor in a small open-door reataurant and had the basics (omlettes, boiled eggs, cheese, some fruit and vegetables and a selection of cakes or pancakes). There is air conditioning, which is essential during the summer in Baku. The hotel is not immediately near the main sightseeing points but the half an hour walk is not a drama (give or take a few missing bits of sidewalk). It is a cheap hotel and probably a good value for money overall.
