How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The hotel is perfectly located. However if you are with the car you may have difficulties with the parking. The rooms are good, but some of them are not fit for two people.

An excellent location, right by the markets. The hotel does come with parking, but be warned, it is a single dead-end "street" that can fit 5/6 cars. If you are the first car in, the hotel will hold the keys and move all of the cars behind you so that you can leave. We were in a large 4x4, and they moved all of the other cars and ours perfectly, without causing any damage. They were experts! Do not let the car parking put you off, it is fantastic, safe, secure, and right outside the hotels front door. The staff were fantastic, the hotel was very clean and the breakfast was lovely. The location is 10/10 and we would highly recommend it. Also, it is right next to the spot where Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated, leading to the start of World War One.

The mattress to sleep and location is excellent. Very rarely hotels have good mattresses. It is in the old town so a very good location.

It was too hot in the room and the AC wasn’t connected yet since it’s April and not the summer season yet.
Location was amazing, walking distant from all the touristic attractions. Breakfast was amazing! Reception ladies were so helpful and friendly.

The staff were absolutely excellent - friendly, accommodating and professional. My check out was earlier than the breakfast serving time, so the kind people at the reception arranged for a take-away breakfast (made with love!).The location is right where the old town starts, while still in a quiet place. - Reception was grand and modern but felt like the rooms could be slightly updated (eg. Bathrooms). Still decent enough but as grand/modern as the reception - low ceilings in Gym and limited stuff so didn't use

In the city center, it's easy to find, very close to restaurants and attractions, the rooms are clean, and the staff's service is very good. I will still choose this place next time!

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a pleasant stay. The location was also convenient, close to many attractions and restaurants.

It was free airport shuttle when I booked. When I contacted to book shuttle one day earlier they told me I should have booked the shuttle service as soon as I booked the room. Then,the offer was no longer available , we should pay 20 euro. I use booking.com for very long time and this is the first time I experienced such a thing. This was misleading, the reason I chose this hotel was free shuttle.This was clearly used as a marketing ploy, I wasn’t the only one had the issue.

We booked a Standard King room and it was very small. If we went again we’d book a larger room. The bathroom was a little tired. To be fair we didn’t report the broken shower attachment but feel that had we done so the hotel staff would have rectified it.
The hotel is fresh and airy. The location is fantastic for access to the Old Town and all its restaurants. The reception staff were very helpful.

A lovely hotel next to the old town. We had a massive room with comfortable beds and breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The staff at reception were very kind and helpful, always smiling and happy.

Thanks to all of.the departments of the hotel, my stay was very well, hotel is very clean, staff are very friendly, housekeeping was smiling, receptionists are very helpful and professional, breakfast was rich, location is perfect, transfer service was very good, I recommend everyone to stay here.
