“Got the whole ground floor to myself. Unfortunately, I promptly locked myself out of my room wearing just underwear on the first visit I made to the bathroom, my not realising the door was going to lock itself behind me and me with no idea of the code or my host's contact details, all of which were inside the room along with my phone, passport, cash etc. No-one else at home, no access to internet and the host lived elsewhere. Could very easily have scuppered my entire 2 night stay. Absolute nightmare. My own fault, though, I guess.
The room was a mid-terraced place in the process of being renovated & you could tell it was going to be great once finished. Host makes this perfectly clear & allowances are made for this situation in the price so don't be expecting the Ritz.
The metro was about quarter of a mile away so very handy. Buses nearby, too.
Host was very friendly.”
