Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceNothing. It was perfect.
À Côté du Centenaire is a pure jewel in a splendid district of Brussels. Close to museums, restaurants and parks. The bedroom is spacious, very clean, as well as the bathroom. Laurent is a wonderful host, very attentive to his guests needs. A big bravo! We will definitely recommend this property to our friends and family.

United KingdomThe shower was hot for a few minutes only. This was just about ok for me travelling solo... For a couple or more this means that someone has to shower cold.
The boss is really nice. Breakfast times are flexible and the boss even makes orange juice for guests during breakfast. This creates a very nice atmosphere. The house itself is also great. Unassuming from the outside, but stunning inside with an atrium.

RomaniaI didn't like the heating system of the location. At 10 pm I only had hot water in the shower for 5 minutes, which for me is not enough, especially if I want to wash my long hair. To have hot water again, I waited for more than 2 hours. Also, the radiators were pretty warm when I went to bed, but in the morning completely cold, so I imagine they somehow shut down during the night.
I mostly liked the location and the host. The room seemed recently renovated and it was clean.

SwitzerlandThe shower has a curtain and I prefer a screen. There was no kettle in the room (there is one downstairs with tea and coffee freely available, which is a plus), but I like to wake up to a good "cuppa"
I was very well received. it is so much nicer than a "corporate" hotel, with a touch of homeliness. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed.

GermanyThe windows of my room had to be covered all day because it was located so that anyone who entered the rooms in the back yard could look across the small garden into my room (including from the breakfast room). This wasn't really a problem as the B&B wasn't fully booked, but if you need more privacy you might have problems with it. Since I was traveling alone and only staying one night, I had no problem with this.
I often stay in Brussels for just one night for business reasons and this B&B was exceptionally nice and made me feel like I was coming home. Very nice people and great breakfast. The B&B is in a nice and safe area. I will book it again!

PolandI wasn't sure about the towels upon arrival: one was hanging on a heating grill in the bathroom....
I liked its boutique kind-of style: privacy (no crowds :-) with high quality and comfort; the room was cozy and quiet; there were free coffee (a must in the morning ;-) and snacks in the breakfast area; wifi worked well which was crucial for me; the location was ideal, I appreciated the host's availability and flexibility - many thanks, Mr Scholtus! I'll be back!

BulgariaI do not have any remarks and proposals.
The hotel has a strategic location - nearby the wonderful park with the same name and the important building related to business affairs. I am satisfied with all conveniences the hotel offered me. Coisy comfortable light clean room, hospitality of the owner and personnel - everything was at high level.

NetherlandsThere was a big spider in one corner of the ceiling. The bed sheets had a stain. The curtains in the room didn't cover the window entirely. I could hear perfectly when the guests above me were walking through their room.
The owner is friendly and polite. For breakfast he offered to make me, in addition to what was served, a hard boiled egg and a fresh orange juice. There was a small complimentary water bottle in the room. When I checked out he was very kind to borrow me an umbrella for the day, as it was raining. Smoking is possible on the patio. The location of the B&B was really close to my POI. Parking on the street was free and I could easily find a spot.

CroatiaThe stairs to the upper floors are very narrow and there is no elevator, so it is not for people with reduced mobility. It would be great if there was a kettle in the room so that the guest could prepare coffee or tea. It is not a big investment, but it would significantly improve the offer and atmosphere.
A pleasant space in a quiet neighborhood, not far from the large and beautiful Cinqenntaire park. European institutions can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes. The room was bright and cozy, the bathroom was of a decent size. The owner is very pleasant. The price is acceptable
